Which FA WR would you like to sign?

So we obviously need to sign a vet WR. Who's available that you like?

OBJ? Allen Hurns? Fuller? TY Hilton? Sanders? Djack? Beas? Humphries? Westbrook? Someone else?

Would you try to trade for one? If so who and what are you giving up?

Nothing too exciting in that list, given OBJ is going to be out at least as long as Gallup and probably longer.

Fuller would be worth a flier because he's only 28, but he'll probably pull a hamstring walking out to practice.

no we obviously don't have to sign a vet receiver....we are in the first week of tc and we lost a guy for 6 weeks. We have a lot of young guys on the roster that could step up, use the roster, see what we have, if things don't materialize over the next 3 weeks THEN you go get someone....no need to panic right now and sign a player that might not be needed.

I’d sign Fuller, but I wouldn’t go nuts. I’d look at the “weapons” we have, and the best way to utilize them.

Lamb
Noah Brown
Tolbert
Houston
Turpin
Shultz
Pollard
Elliott
Ferguson
What ever FA Vet we pick up

6-8 weeks in, we get Gallup and Washington. I think we’ll manage.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I would get Tyler Snead WR from East Carolina. The Steelers snagged him last month but they are deep at slot receivers. This little guy can do it all.

Snead lacks typical NFL-level straight-line speed. But Snead has that “shiftiness” the Steelers have long coveted, and he found ways to amass 162 catches, 1,881 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns in 31 career games. That includes two kickoff return touchdowns (Snead returned punts at times, too) — but does not include three

doesn’t hurt to wish….

According to Jane Slater, Fuller has knee issues......

Why is it obvious? Is there anyone out there that can truly move the needle? If so then why are they still available this close to the season? Beasley could make some sense, but I have to believe that bridge has been burnt to the ground.

See if anyone can step up in camp/preseason and keep an eye on who other teams cut....cuts are probably going to be our best option. I still dont understand why people are under the impression that James Washington is this enormous loss we cant recover from though. He hasnt been more than replacement level his entire career.

None. They kind of let the offseason just slide by which tell me there was never any urgency to win it all this year. So why push the panic button now because a JAG got hurt?

I ride with what I got
I think the first 4 games or so we can rely on Turpin in the slot and lamb, Tolbert on the edge with plenty of Schultz, Ferguson sets
If Moore can create opportunities for Turpin and pollard they will make big plays
Run the ball and use play action
Bringing in a guy now just means less reps for young guys who have more upside, even if they don’t have much experience
I thought fuller was a guy to bring to camp but once we added Turpin that ship sailed
Let Tolbert learn on the field
I know the trend is big guys in the slot but little quick guys can create space and move the ball
If the oline plays solid football we will be fine
The oline is the key not some vet WR

You go Beasley. He is already familiar with half of the players on offense.

He can play in the slot and move Lamb around.

I'm offering a late pick to the Dolphins for Preston Williams. He's a classic outside wideout. CeeDee can flex into the slot, Tolbert can flex into the slot, so we can lock a big body at one spot out out wide and let those guys play matchups inside.

TY Hilton would be a nice signing too. But reading his Rotoworld page though, it kind of sounds like he has one foot in retirement. He's probably only willing to play the right situation, and an injury fill-in for an average looking Cowboys squad probably isn't that situation.

I hear a lot in CZ for preston williams , but wonder why is he in the chopping block at Miami ? You know Wilson went to Miami as probably the WR2. But I am all for that if he is established as a outside WR , because we seem to have several slot WRs but not outside (like Gallop , Amari )

Wilson is WR 3/4.

Hill and Waddle are 1-2. Wilson and Williams are 3/4. Then they have Sanu, Sherfield, Bowden, Ezukanma etc

Not panic time yet. Like stated...let’s give the younguns a chance to shine. Tired of signing washed out vets that really do nothing to improve the team. Seems it’s almost the same group for last couple years. I think Hurns been passed around more than a joint at a deadhead concert.
If they had anything left...they wouldn’t be sitting at home now.
