My take on the Zeke suspension had more to do with the way the league reacted to Ray Rice, and the brouhaha they found themselves in because they lied about seeing the video and were caught out. Doesn't mean I do not agree with you. But the league needed to seem they were tough on the type of behavior of physical abuse by a man to a woman.

Even one of the inner circle said she found no evidence the woman making the claim against Zeke was being truthful.

And now that the dust has settled, and we are years away from that, where is the lawsuit which would have stripped Zeke of a large chunk of his first contract by this woman?

People sue at the drop of the hat, and win. Yet nothing from her, as I recall. No settlement, no financial award, nothing.

Wonder why?

Because her legal position would have revealed he did nothing she claimed.

The league wanted to look tough, and a Dallas Cowboy was the perfect target.

And in the big scheme of things, did the league rob Zeke of future profit taking by endorsements?

The accusations are, yes. Without question. There is no world where the accusation of a single consensual transaction with a prostitute is as bad as the accusation of 20-25 women alleging sexual harassment and/or assault, including forcing women to give oral sex against their will.

Again, you are assigning accusations to Kraft he is not accused of.

Of course an accusation of enslaving women is worse than what Watson has been accused of, but nobody has ever accused Kraft of enslaving anyone.

Kraft's involvement was with a prostitute. That's all anyone has ever accused him of.

If Goodell does a 1 year suspension and the NFLPA does in fact get a injunction and he plays games this year and the suspension is upheld (likely outcome) Watson will loose a lot of money if those games are pushed into next year on how the contract was set up. It may come down to accepting the increased punishment because of the all the money on the table.

the agreement allowed Goodell to have a final say mostly for things out of the ordinary. for emergency break glass
