Agree... but im not just talking bengals fans. Where was the outraged from the general public.....all those woman you are talking about? There was none.
Then tell me you think the league is acting as such with Personal Conduct Policy. Who is the league concerned with.

I understand that.. did you see 20 people were offended at beyonce for using the word spaz in her Album she just released.. she is going to change the song and remove the word.....smh
It’s about wanting to be sensitive to segments in society which could present a public backlash. P— correct.

Tell me something. How come these rules and regulations don't apply to the owners as well. Cris Canty on espn brought this up. No one should be above the law, correct?
IMO it’s because the owners aren’t the professional athlete entertainers. They aren’t the product we are directly viewing and contributing to.

Fans need to come to grips that this isn’t just about a football game anymore. This is sports entertainment at the highest level which includes TV networks and their Sponsors. And they are sensitive to any kind of public outcry.

Perv boy should be serving jail time.
Hopefully when he continues his perv ways( which I’m sure he will) they will find him in a dumpster with his junk cut off and shoved in his mouth from a angry boyfriend or father after he does what he does to the next therapist.
This loser should be on a sexual predator list but people look the other way when they can make money off of him.
Karma’s a ***** perv boy.

:hammer:Every dog has their day. He thinks his pocketbook can buy anything & keep everyone quiet. It will catch up to him. He's sickening & shouldn't be allowed to play another day in the NFL. What message does this send to young fans? They'll follow their hero's ways. Sad!
Consistency is not their goal.
....no pun intended! :p

If those women agreed to a settlement then what business of that is ours? How naive does someone have to be to think a grown man is flying you out for a massage? According to his lawyers, everything was consensual

This is the biggest point right here. I'm not down with exploiting women, or assaulting women, especially when there's not consent. But any woman thinking a grown man, NFL football player, is truly flying them across the country for a massage isn't a credible witness, especially when there's no real evidence of a crime. Dude was a dirtbag, no doubt. But c'mon, the women knew what they were doing. All you have to do is listen to them talk in interviews. I was ready to suspend Watson myself. But all that would be is the NFL playing the morality police, and they shouldn't be doing that.

I’m not sure you’re grasping the intent of the Personal Conduct Policy.

And for the sake of argument why would we lean more to what his lawyers state than the womens ?

We must remember and these professional athlete entertainers need to remember as well when you’re in the public eye your personal activity is out there for all to examine. That’s the price for fame and fortune .
Well when two courts refuse to file criminal charges because of lack of evidence, then why wouldn't we learn towards the lawyers side? Why would you side with the women when evidence is not on their side?

Just because a DA won’t take the case to Grand Jury doesn’t mean there wasn’t evidence or wrong doing.

Remember it’s difficult to find 12 jurors who’d convict a popular celebrity athlete while also placing DA public office in potential jeopardy.

If this was any John off the street he’d more likely be prosecuted. And why the league is not relying on our justice system to discipline. They know with their fame and fortune they can often get off.

They threw it out because lack of evidence, so again, we're just suppose to believe women because they're women?

And that’s a very sexist statement . I could ask you , are we just supposed to believe this jock after 20+ women have similar accusations?

Protecting your company’s or leagues image with Public Opinion is playing the morality police .

If you don’t want your personal life in public view heavily scrutinized then I suggest choosing another profession . Being an athlete entertainer on prime time network tv is a very public position. This isn’t just about football anymore.

It comes with fame and fortune for which there is a price to be paid in the public eye . And the league is intent on protecting their image because so much money is at stake .

Sure, but then it should come down to the teams. If they wish to risk tarnishing their image, they can. But the NFL playing the league police just seems a tad bizarre. I know it's been like this and will remain like this, but I think it would be better to leave this up to the teams.

That said, I don't care too much what happens to Watson.

That’s where the league steps in cause collectively they aren’t willing to allow individual teams to risk tarnishing the leagues image .

This is the only way as teams wouldn’t want to place themselves in harms way with their fans .Most fans are only fussy about their own players and not others around the league .

It’s really such a small percentage who even fall into this need for discipline from the league . Less than 1% and why the Players Union has agreed in order to protect the 99+% athletes interest.

No, you have to read the story. The NFL is trying to appeal the decision to make it longer.
Thanks, I was so pissed off and didn't brother to read the story after I saw APPEAL in the story headline.

Ok, so all of you that don’t like me due to my condescending attitude... the above post is exhibit number one. This guy is so upset that he posts a paragraph about the league being UPSET with Watson’s suspension, so much so that they are appealing his punishment...smh... yep....ugh.
Ha-haaaaaaa, well I was just informed that the league is appealing the short 6 game suspension, but I can still live with my huge post about a sick pervert who shouldn't be allowed on an NFL field EVER AGAIN!
