So somebody correct me if I'm wrong but if the NFL appeals and Watson goes to court to fight it, he can play week one and continue playing until there is a verdict. If the NFL wins, then he's suspended for the year. If the NFL loses his six-game suspension begins at that point.

Right...or not?

Deshaun Weinstein should have gotten at least a year from the start. Hopefully they require some sort of mandatory counseling or therapy.

If the NFL is going to have the audacity to say they care about women, something more needs to be done in situations like this than what there has in times past.

Here, here. There has to be a consistent accountability model and league message about women. You can't have breast cancer month, and then not learn from the Rice situation, Dalrymple, Eagles locker room, Snyder pimping, Chucky's emails and others.

As a fan of the NFL I would want to know the league is consistent in its approach, and would fault to protection of women first with a fair process to determine consequences.

How is Watson behaviour on par with the punishment Elliott received. Not saying that Zeke isn't an idiot, but if Zeke is an idiot, then Watson is a pathological idiot with the number of times he has repeated the behaviour.

On the "default" position of the league, they should ensure every young player or team employee coming into the league is warned that your career is in jeopardy every single second of everyday in regards to contravening legally and socially acceptable behaviour.

Fools get taken out of this league. Even if it isn't a crime. Just my two cents.

I think that is up to the courts. If they grant an injunction then the suspension wouldn't start. Unfortunately, I am not sure how the six games factors into that. He may have to serve that suspension regardless while they fight out any extension to that suspension. That aside, if the court does not grant the injunction then the suspension is on regardless. This happened to Zeke when he was fighting his case. The courts denied his injunction which means he was suspended while he fought it. I assume it is why he eventually gave up and just served out his suspension.
