He's been in the offense for like 6 years. Why should he play? Hell, Pollard shouldn't either

Hate to disagree bro but linemen need time together to get in sync. The five guys need to function as a unit and they need live bullets to learn how each one reacts to live situations and how they can best work together. Tyron is breaking in a rookie linemate and Zack needs to get more in sync with Steele and Biadasz. Our entire season is literally riding on those guys being good -- together!
They can do that stuff in training camp.

Tyron and been banged up for years now and Martin for the past couple of years.

It's not Tyron's job to break in a linemate. It's the coaches. The starters will get their reps in TC. That's what its for

Sean McVey hasn't played a starter in preseason in 3 or 4 years. They seem to be in sync just fine.

Week 18 at Philly was essentially a “preseason” game and Zeke played.

He needed his precious 1,000 yards, even at the expense of keeping him extra fresh for the playoff game a week later.

Even though he had a knee injury he was playing through.

Not a big fan of this, but with the beating he's taken the last few years, it's probably a good thing. Though, the optics of him deciding not to play are not good.

Oline and RB are much different
They aren’t getting many reps but they do need some
A RB doesn’t need many reps at all

1) This isn't true.. McVey only recently started this mode.
2) How many rookies have the Rams deployed on the offensive line the last 3-4 years?
3) Do what's right for your team, not what you hear other people are doing. We have three very young linemen we're working to get right.. I don't care if other teams don't play their vets. This team needs to.

remeber when "everyone" said zeke should have decided to not play hurt last year?

Now "everyone" says zeke shouldn't get to decide to skip some PS games.

Good lord...you guys. Jeeze!

The inability to discern the difference between a preseason game and regular season games is astounding. But you get it.. People need something to b-hatch about .. Let 'em.

I suspect the headline is written to get clicks. My guess is that the coaches went to him and let him know it was his choice and he was smart enough to choose "no." Emmitt stopped playing in preseason except for one series in the "dress rehearsal" after about his 3rd year. And after about year 6 I doubt he played a single snap in preseason. You guys have been click baited.

I remember Emmitt having Erik Williams falling on him in the 1996 preseason game against the Broncos, which was Year 7 for Emmitt, and him suffering knee and ankle injuries. In fact, Emmitt played that whole year with bone chips floating around in his ankle.

And off the top of my head, I remember Emmitt getting 1 carry in the 1999 HOF game against the Browns.
