A LB in the first round should be more than he has lately. No extension offered. Yes, a bust so far. But a sad one because he tore it up his rookie season. Just never overcame those injuries. Maybe he’ll have a miraculous comeback this year but doubtful. Can’t win ‘em all.

Not a bust and not a hit.
Fans are spoiled but this is what R1 picks outside the top 15 often look like.

He has an approximate value of 29 in 4 years. That's a fair but spare R1 return.

Rashaan Evans was drafted 3 picks later at LB and has been an AV of 27.

LVE was a revelation his rookie season. I believe subsequent injuries made his career go bust.

Not a bust.

But certainly has not played to the level of where he was drafted after a promising start to his career. He is what he is now: a marginal starter on a thin LB core

Is a player really a bust that does exactly what his draft reports said he would? This injury stuff was well known.

...LVE is very serviceable. A dependable player. As consistent playmaker, those days are probably over.

I thought he was very good his first year. Then he disappointed in the following years and somewhat rebounded last year

however, I thought he played his best game ever when it mattered most against SF
I'm thinking you made this exact same thread saying the exact same thing a couple of months ago.

He shouldn't have been taken in the 1st. That's our fault.

Not just in the first, but in the late teens. Too early for a guy with a known health condition.

We like the guys with limited experience who seem to be all upside, but that limited experience means they haven't shown that their bodies can hold up to football over a long period of time.

LVE under performed his draft position but wasn’t a bust.

they didn’t offer the 5th year ext because LVE has earned a Pro Bowl.

it was cheaper for Dallas to do a single year deal.

he split snaps last year and played well.

If he continues to play at that level, they will extend his deal.

he has a Pro Bowl.

The collar bone fracture set him back.

but he’s obviously recovered.

He came into the draft with a neck injury and it was neck issues that caused him to miss most of his time. The collar bone injury was less sever and something that only cost him half a season.

He's a LB that was taken in the top 20 who had injury issues in college, and frankly, taken earlier than he should have been. There were also some really questionable things surrounding his neck in college that I still can't believe went unnoticed during the combine.

He's a bust because he was taken in the top 20 and viewed as a first round talent - what we got is an injury prone player who is average to good when healthy. He fits the definition of bust. He'll go on to be a bust elsewhere after this season too.

Not a bust, but a disappointment due to where he was drafted.

......an overachiever that lack of lateral speed has been exposed.
