Hey Everyone,

I wanted to reach out here as I am planning a trip to Jerry's world for the Thanksgiving game against the giants. I wanted advice on if it makes more sense to get an all in one package that includes air fare, hotel and tickets. Or to get them all separately?

Also. IF you can suggest some fun things to do in Arlington that would be great. I am flying in from Toronto

I am not giving Jerry another nickel. But if I were, I would stay at the Marriott and walk to the game. There are nice bar and restaurant options outside the stadium.

Depends on what you like I guess.
Will any kids be on the trip. There is a Six Flags amusement park near by.
If you do karaoke I know of a great place.

Giving your hard earned money to Jerry is like giving a junky heroine and expecting the junky to kick the habit.

Have some self dignity and don't go.
Have some humility and realize that no one especially Jerry cares if you go to the games or buy his merchandise. Just go hide in your corner and watch the games on TV which really enriches Jerry more because TV ratings drive up the TV rights and that is where Jerry makes his real money....LOL

Ive only seen them play live in Philly, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh. I have never had a chance to go to the old Texas stadium or the new one. I have self dignity. My 300 dollars is not going to make a dent in Jerry's yacht lol

Nope no kids.

Just trying to figure out if an all in trip or buying everything separate makes more sense.

That I am not sure about.
Depends on how much you want to spend on a hotel. If you stay a little further away, they may be cheaper.

My one suggestion is to book your stay at the Live! by Loews hotel which is a short 5 minute walk from the stadium. Makes it convenient for out-of-towners without a car...

I would do separate, but also stay like in Grapevine and spend at least one day in Dallas, so you see more things. Arlington is-uh interesting if you want to see all the tourist traps glued to I-30. Just look up the things to do in Dallas and make a trip to Sundance square in Ft.Worth for the stereotype cowboy things too if you go to eat or watch the people that look like they are cowboys. Can't tell you all the things but at least choose one or the other, Arlington is a drive a rental or be stuck in one spot mess, I wouldn't stay exclusively there.

Very cool! Hope you have a great trip. Some suggestions I have for planning:
  • Staying in Arlington will cost you more than staying in Ft. Worth which is only about 15-20 min west of Arlington. The Arlington hotels next to AT&T typically charge a lot more. Downtown FW has some great hotels and restaurants.
  • There are also some great VRBO/Air B&Bs in Ft Worth that are way cheaper than staying in Arlington and they are not that far from AT&T.
  • I would strongly advise either taking an Uber ride to and from the game or being prepared to park a long way away. Parking near the stadium is crazy expensive and the traffic around there is insane on game days. Have an Uber driver drop you off a block or two away from the stadium then walk. Yes it will cost you but it will be about the same or less than parking fees.
  • Some restaurants in Arlington and FW I recommend:
    • Pappadeaux’s Seafood- 1304 E. Copeland Rd, Arlington, 76011. If you like seafood, it’s one of the best around here.
    • Texas Live!- 1650 E. Randol Mill Rd. Arlington, 76011. This is actually a collection of restaurants and bars next to the Texas Rangers Ballpark and just a block or two east of ATT. Troy Aikman has a restaurant inside there and there are several cool places to eat or grab a beer. Highly recommend it!
    • Joe T Garcia’s- 2021N. Commerce, Ft. Worth. Mexican Food place that’s been there since the 1930s. You want to eat on the patio outside. Located in the historic old stockyards in N Ft Worth.
Just a few suggestions!

Have fun!! I'm sorry, but I'm not really sure what to recommend. I suppose for hotels, if you're willing to stay in Dallas, there's an Embassy Suites, or at least I remember there being one, on the west side of Dallas. Ive stayed there a few times. There's a Red Lobster near the airport that's quite nice. There are plenty of Tex-Mex and BBQ places nearby as well. Hope this helps.

I should add, when I've gone to Dallas for Texas Furry Fiesta, I have stayed at a Marriott downtown and at the Hyatt Regency where the big tower with the ball on it is. Those were quite fun and nice hotels. The lifts at the Marriott were quite slow though. Still, if you're looking to visit Dallas, one of those would be good places. I hope this helps.

Awesome! I go down there every Turkey Day, it’s a tradition for us. I would get each a La carte(plane and hotel). Even look at AirBnb and VRBOs as well for lodging. The game tickets are on Seat Geek. Places to go: Texas Live! And Miller Lite House. Stadium Tours are cool and the Star Tour in Frisco is awesome as well. There is Hurtados BBQ near by and Pappadueaxs.
