He looks good but you can't tell much from a no hit practice. His time is coming.

Turpin led the USFL w/540 receiving yards thanks to tallying 316 yards after the catch. Four of his catches went for touchdowns. His value extended past just being a pass catcher as Turpin also scored a touchdown on a punt return as well as a kickoff return.

Turpin is a very skilled return man. That said, don't be surprised this kid returns one for 90 plus!

As proven. A player doesn't need any of that to be the USFL MVP!

Hope he can hold up. He is gonna take some shots in the NFL. They will bracket him like they did Beez. But could help get Lamb or someone open deep. That’s if they use him like they did Beez.

Yeah if I remember correctly Sproles was kind of jacked.

Yeah sproles was built like a traditional running back, as far as thickness and muscle build goes. He was just short.

Turpin is even shorter and he is wirey. Lol

Yeah but there aren't a lot of Big 12 caliber defenses in the NFL! LOL!

No there isnt, and i have said this before, He would have been drafted in early rounds if not for his off field problems as he was actually very good...and no the minor league is not the NFL but he was the MVP in that league and several of those players will be playing on Sunday. So yeah his size could be a problem but it wouldnt be the first time someone small and fast did ok in the NFL..No?

He’s also not near the east tackle Beasley was
Beasley was a fine player but he was the king of the one finger tackle

I was just messin.. I watched him at TCU so was very familiar with the young man already. I was surprised when he didn't get drafted but I had not followed all that off the field stuff at all. As a fellow vertically challenged fellow (I am 5'7") I always root for the little guys to make it. Turpin's speed will be great but it's his quickness and change of direction that will make him a force in the NFL. The ability to stop on a dime and be going the opposite direction of the defender in the blink of an eye will give him a chance to make hay without ever really getting blown up. There are lots of guys in the NFL with comparable speed as him. But there are only a handful with his kind of quickness and agility. And thankfully for him, almost none of them play defense.
