It may be, I dont know to what degree its the OC, HC, or the Line coach who is forcing this...but again thats what boges down everything in the franchise the last 26 years...is it the HC calling the shots???? the owner literally says he is involved in game planning week to week..thats not a normal statement for an Owner its not even normal for a GM to come out and say it.

It’s seems to me that the OL coaching leaves quite a bit to be desired. OL coaching might be the weakest coaching link on this team at the moment. Anyone else feel the same way?
OL is the heart of a team...coaching isn't the problem, talent and health is.

I'm no Philbin fan, but it isn't entirely on the coaching.

We are downgraded big time at Center currently, and should've been making arrangements at LT years ago.

Sometimes it's easy to blame the coach and I'm saying he doesn't have issues but the OL issues are not entirely his fault. He's a position coach with little or no say of talent ( or lack of) he's asked to coach. For example, we sent two starting OLinemen packings and kept Philbin. Maybe coz he wanted the players replaced way before it happen but Stephen, salaries, and cap were issues.

My point to talent is we have as much as anyone else (except a select few) on the oline...do we have 2 weak spots right now, yes, is that a league wide issue..in my opinion yes it is.

They had to many line combinations last year, LT, LG, RT. If they can stay healthy and get some consistency they'll start playing better as a unit and should be fine.

I dont know if he is good or not.
Seems like mixed results , Steele for example has fared well under him.

I am not qualified to say. I know coaching caught a lot of the heat for the penalties.

I have noticed the same OLC coaches Martin and Big Smitty that coached Collins and Williams.

It is pathetic. You have seen it for the last 2 years, at training camp this year, and it will be evident in the regular season as a major defect.

Coaches can only work with what they have. EVERY OL coach over the last 5 years has had the line fall apart once Tyron Smith goes down. Without Frederick and Smith the line goes to pot.

This year will be no different.

Biggest thing at the moment is the improvement of Biadasz. If he can take a step forward than we have a stout line from Tyron all the way down to Martin. That will bode really well in the run game.

Same coaches the first half of the year when the Cowboys ran off 5 games averaging 180 yards rushing per game.

I will say this...the advancing age and switch at C has hurt Dallas but in my opinion the OL has regressed in 2 years under JP. Even Collins sucked.

Coaches only look good if they have good players.
