Waving pom-poms every time the Jones boys do something doesn't build them, either.

You do you, I'll do me.
Not waving poms poms ok , im saying the start of the season a long way off and im sorry you are NOT in any way shape or form a better player evaluator THEN THE ENTIREE Cowboys FO.,,you can think that and your ego might make you feel that way but reality ,in this reality, or 15 other multidimensional Realites, not even close to the truth.

IM saying stick to whatever it is in life you do because your opinion carries less than squat in the pro football sports world. You are keyboard puncher with opinions. That is a straight fact, you count get hired as errand boy at the ranch..they would laugh you out of the backdoor.

What's old is new again. Not feeling like this solves the kicker dilemma.

The problem is not solved at all. Going cheap on the kicker position is going to hurt Dallas.

Although I do think the team should have been more proactive earlier in the offseason, at this point those crying about Maher make no sense.

We complained that the kickers in camp were doing bad then the team tries out 4 kickers and the best one wins and we are mad again? Uh do y’all know how few good kickers there are? You’re not signing anyone better than Maher at this point fellas that’s the point. He actually wasn’t bad last year in his half a season in NO as he went 16-18.

Complain about the negligence to find a kicker right after Z left, but to be mad that the team signed the best available kicker at this point makes no sense. If he had a different name on his jersey but same career I bet we’d be applauding it lol. Stop getting hung up on trivial stuff and look at the reality. Kickers available in August aren’t studs, Maher happens to be the best available. You wanna upgrade from Garibay? You got it.

Why is it so hard for the Cowboys to just move on from guys?

I mean, they're really bringing Maher back? Why? Because he played here in the past and is a familiar face?

What a horribly ran franchise.
Why watch then? Enjoy being so negative on a daily basis? What else do you expect the Cowboys to do, Einstein? They are trying their best!

Done reading your daily anti-Cowboys comments. You are going to be my 1st on my ignore list.

Trying their best?

Come on my man. If you think this off-season was trying their best you need to learn what your best means.

I have a quote for you from the late great Sean Connery.

"Your best? Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and (blank) the prom queen!"

The reactions of some here never cease to amaze me. Some act like by signing Maher, the team has to stick with him all season and are doomed. Maybe they just wanted someone a little more reliable for the preseason games and will still be looking for a better option. Maybe Maher has improved himself. What if he looked real good in his tryout and hits 90%+ in games? Point is, why can't some wait and see what the team does at kicker before week one starts and give Maher a chance first. If he is the kicker week one and misses 2 attempts inside of 50 yards and the team loses by 4, them by all means have at it. But right now, he is probably the best that's available.

Exactly!

Nah, some would prefer the Cowboys stick with the UDFA Garibay who has stunk it up badly so far in training camp.

I already have.

I 1000000 percent would have brought in Wagner. Or Z'adarius Smith.

Then I would have drafted Jermaine Johnson, Travis Jones, Jalen Tolbert, and Jamaree Salyer (who is getting rave reviews for his work ethic and strength out of chargers camp).

That would have given us a good to great to ELITE defense and helped out on offense as well.

Also would have drafted a kicker in the later rounds. And fixed the K position once and for all

So you're here to complain because the Cowboys didn't draft the way you would have preferred? You sound just as bad as the Mountaineer poster. Why watch or follow this team then? Sheesh.

No. I am complaining because this team is content sitting on their hands in FA year in and year out since Brandon Carr.

You asked me for my idea. I gave it to you. You don't like it so you're attacking me.

You can sit there with a straight face and tell me my ideas don't look a heck of a lot better than what we wound up with and where we are?

I apologize but after how the Cowboys performed in the playoffs I was expecting something. Anything. Not this brutal boring off season. Heck. I would have been happy with the OL coach being fired. Instead. Everyone is fine. Jerry is good. And lets do it again this season.

And please. Dont compare me to that person.

QB meh happens everywhere, DE little less but opinions vary, WR people like flashy so some strong opinions on this, RB yeah they come in various talents and opinions could differ.....BUT when your forum memebers can put each other on ignore over a KICKER..Well thats gotta be some kinda milestone!

Hey, I'm with you to a certain extent. I also wanted Jermaine Johnson, especially since he was there for the pick, but I totally understand now why the Cowboys went with OG/OT Tyler Smith who has looked very good so far in camp. As for the other picks, I'm happy with getting DE Sam Williams late in the 2nd, WR Jalen Tolbert late in the 3rd and TE Jake Ferguson late in the 4th. In my opinion, the Cowboys knocked it out of the park, especially since all 4 positions were positions of need and addressed with all first 4 rounds.

Just appreciate a little bro. Don't be so negative. I hear you, but the Cowboys made some pretty good moves. As for the kicker situation, there were no better kickers available late in the draft. The 2 best kickers in college had already been drafted at that point. I don't know why you liked Dicker the kicker when he wasn't all that while at Texas?
