Is Waletzko going to try to skip surgery and play? Haven't seen the final answer on that.

Average is being nice. I think our dts are all jags

Possibly. I still think Gallimore can play if he can stay healthy and has some upside. But his upside isn't Chris Jones or Aaron Donald, for sure. Odi, he's just limited by his size. His ceiling is probably a good rotational guy, maybe even a good pass rusher from inside on passing downs. The rest? JAGs.

Remember it’s unofficial and things WILL change before the season opener. But this is interesting.

Same thing every year...meaningless.

Tyler Smith and Braylon Jones are 2nd team OGs.

In reality Tyler will start and Braylon might not make the practice squad.

Basham 2nd string and Sam Williams 3rd string.

Basham is barely clinging to a roster spot.

Not trying to be mean, but do people forget or just not care...

It actually IS the same thing every year…the team releases a depth chart before the first ps game. Not meaningless but certainly not meaningful either.

Coaches are still in the 1970s.
Most people seem to think coaches are too soft today, so that would be a compliment by the standards of many fans. Besides, when did making a player earn his spot go out of style? Smith's experience is mostly at OT, so he is going through a learning curve and has to work hard to get the techniques right. Seems to me it makes perfect sense to not hand him the job where he might relax some, even if subconsciously.

If hes playing better give him the spot. Like I said ppl and kids now are used to instant information they are not beat for 1970s politics. If they are not rewarded for performing you will lose them.

I don't understand the thinking that because kids today feel a sense of entitlement we should give them what they want when they want it. In fact, that seems to be a reason not to hand them things. A strong work ethic is vital, and that's what should be cultivated. Besides, if they lose him because he isn't handed the job the first couple of weeks of training camp he was never mentally tough enough to start anyway.

I also don't get lumping all players in the same basket, as if there is a one size fits all formula for everyone. Part of coaching is pushing players to be the best they can be and getting them ready for the season within the confined time frame of training camp, and that's especially important with rookies going through a learning curve. The way to accomplish that with one player isn't automatically the way to accomplish it with all. Players are individuals, and I'm betting the coaches know these individuals much better than we do.

Ultimately, the reward that matters is who has the starting job when the season opens. That's the individual goal in training camp, and as long as the coaches are telling him he is progressing well, working hard and has a chance to be a starter, that should be enough for him to strive for that goal.

Only a few changes from last year. Same results?

What happened to all those who are having an impressive TC.

Still early.

Jesus, Looks like based on this, it’s between Trysten Hill and Ridgeway for who makes the 53 man. You’re not keeping 6 DTs.

I don’t think Hill sticks with another team for very long if he’s cut. That may be the worst 1st or 2nd round pick you’ve made in 10 years. At least Taco still can hold a job 5 years later.
Id put Taco ahead of Hill. Hill has been bad, but Taco was a whole round higher and we are the only team he has been with for more than 1 season

I used to go to 3-4 games EVERY year back at Texas Stadium during the Jimmy, Barry, and Chan era....I swear to God the Almighty that I woudn't go to a game at AT&T if Boogers Sex Bus picked me up at my front door and took me there with a ticket in hand. Why? Because I might be tempted to put 1 cent into his pocket by having a few beers. ANYONE supporting this S show is just flat brain dead.

Unofficial is the key word, but it's interesting to see Anthong Barr listed as Parson's backup. This means lots of snaps for Barr when the Cowboys use Micah off the edge. I mean we knew this was the case but it's cool to see it anyways.

I can HONESTLY see them keeping 10 DL, 10 DB, and only 5 TRUE LB since the SS in this scheme can effectively play a LB hybrid role.

That's how I see it.

Unicorn buried under G. Sad.
Tyler Smith as backup LG is just not gonna happen.
Hill can't even make 2nd string at DT.
DT is just a disaster zone.

If tyler smith dont start its a wasted pick

Not starting him would be a declaration that he's a wasted pick. You play a first round pick to develop him. And we'd be keeping him off the field to play short timer McGovern? No way.
