You're supposed to be optimistic. Shouldn't you be asking how many games we win because of it?
Based on the announced crackdown of defensive contact, how many games will we lose via yellow flag? The timing of these penalties, not the sheer number, will decide it. I say one, maybe two games.

I just hate the impact on the games.Based on the announced crackdown of defensive contact, how many games will we lose via yellow flag? The timing of these penalties, not the sheer number, will decide it. I say one, maybe two games.
Three, since we are the most penalized team in the league.
We lost our playoff game last year due to our 14 penalties again San Francisco.
Gregory had 3 of those, and 0 sacks. Glad he’s gone.
Actually, we were #3 in NUMBER of penalties. IMHO, the biggest impact is WHEN the flags appear, which I’d wager we were #1 at.
I read somewhere we were #3. Maybe that was 2020. In any event, my point remains. WHEN they happen is even more game changing, and I’d wager we’re #1 there as well. The Cowboys are the most polarizing, hyped, popular, wealthiest, valued, hated team, and as such are watched more closely. The Cowboys led the NFL with 127 penalties last season.

it sure decided the Raider game on Thanksgiving.
It did. But Brown helped by committing all of those penalties. It's like he never played CB in his life. He was absolutely garbage. Dude, turn the hell around!!!
I swear, players 30 years ago played the deep ball much better than they do today. Just go back and watch. I don't want to hear they're bigger, faster, whatever, a 40 yard lob is a 40 yard lob. It's the same today as it was 30 years ago. Yet 30 years ago you don't see DBs slamming into the WR. They looked back.
I think you’re right. They seemed to defend better in the old days. Of course defenders now are handcuffed. They also pass more.
Net effect will be 0Based on the announced crackdown of defensive contact, how many games will we lose via yellow flag?
Revisionist history my friend. 30 years ago they manhandled receivers all over the field and it was "part of the game." Thus refs didn't call it near as much.It did.
