With our brutal beginning with Bucs and Bengals at home it’s very likely we could start 0-2. Which shouldn’t be alarming . I’d be very surprised to win either of these games.

The good news is we have NY and Wash following . And then Rams and at Philly. But then it gets much easier after that with Lions and Bears.

5-3 or worse case scenario 4-4 at the bye puts us in good shape down the stretch to contend for division and playoffs.

9 or 10 wins still keeps us in contention for division and playoffs which for basically a retooling season about all we can hope for. And we’ll need to stay relatively healthy . If we over achieve it could be better but we’ll have to upset some teams we won’t be favored to win. I think 10-7 is a good goal.
Cowboys could also go 2-0. I’m a glass is half full guy. The only way to be IMHO.

You seem insecure and alone.
But, sweet Emory, be advised that when you walk with Jesus you are never alone. Besides, here at the CZ, it is hale fellowship 24/7, old boy! You can be a part of us. Cowboy Party! Jolly good chaps all. Me regards to your aunt with the hip problems. Control the blood pressure, and stay out of the shrubs.

Hurts?
Why does it matter?
Do you need a hobby or a mommy or daddy?
Do you like Roman Gladiators?

Oh, that is so funny. I heard it in 2nd order school when pogo dance was popular! What cut ups those lads were!
You, too, a cheeky lad with rudeness in the bloodlines.
You, a wanna-be smart chap, you reach for clever but come up with mundane teen dribble.

0-2 you are 11-12% to make the playoffs. I certainly expect to lose the first game, but it's the NFL. Anything can happen.

I think either way 2-0 or 0-2 nothing to be screaming about , at mid point of season how they fare will tell us mostly how it will all end up.

of course we can cry or scream or be ecstatic about how they execute each game . ;)

Do you dim your phone while he sleep talks about his hate for the Cowboys? Do you hold him as he sobs in sadness till the wee hours of Monday morning after a Cowboys win? Like I said, I don't judge. PM me if the hate that oozes from his snores becomes too much. I am always willing to help someone who admits they need it.

Greg, I honestly believe this team could start off 2-0.

The Defense is stronger all around. Hard to find any weaknesses on this D. Lots of good depth as well.

The Offense has the questions, especially in the Oline and at WR. Big surprise, LG Connor McGovern has been practicing much better and being more aggressive. Rookie LG Tyler Smith has also performed well so far. The bigger question could be at Right Tackle and Center, but even those positions have decently good backups.

The bigger question arguably could be with the starting WRs to start the season. Michael Gallup could be out all of September which puts CeeDee Lamb at a disadvantage where opposing Defenses can simply double-team him every game while single-covering inexperienced other WRs. Big surprise is how both Noah Brown, Simi Fehoko and TJ Vasher have been lights out so far throughout training camp. Even rookie Jalen Tolbert has shown glimpses of good play. A few UDFA WRs have also shown up and performed well so far in camp, so this WR corps could actually perform well enough to help this team pull out some wins against the Buccs and Bengals to start the season.

you left out the coaching, game plans, play calling, and kicking fg's and xtra points.
Also Brady wants to keep his record intact against dallas..

I didn't forget any of those things. Cowboys would have beat Brady and the Buccs IN TAMPA BAY had it not been for Greg Zuerlein missing a FG and an extra point, plus the officials refusing to call offensive pass interference by the Tampa WR when he pushed off our CB Jourdan Lewis to get open late in the game with only 18 seconds left in the game. Had the crooked officials made the right call, it would have moved the Buccs back across the 50 yard line into their territory and most likely gotten the Cowboys the win.

Dak and today's Cowboys are hungry, ready for revenge, plus hosting a depleted Buccs team in Arlington this time around.

Obviously my intent in this thread has been misinterpreted by some. I’m not saying we will go 0-2 or even predicting as such.

Im just saying we shouldn’t be expected to win. Which takes the pressure off. And diminishes any negative rhetoric the season is over, fire MM or bench Dak that could erupt from such a start.

You notice how all of his responses to you has me brought up in them for some reason or another?

The kid BEGS for my attention on the daily, constantly commenting on things I post, but I just ignore his rambles.

It clearly bothers him.

I hear you.

Cowboys started 0-1 last year, still won the division and got a home playoff game. This isn't the NFL of the 12 game seasons, and as Dallas, and others since, have proven, going 0-2 is no longer a guarantee of not making the playoffs.

Not that it always means a lot, but Dallas is shown as having the easiest schedule this year. Sometimes that ends up being the case, so Dallas could roll through the regular season with a top record and get the bye week. (Not that historically that's helped them any, unfortunately).

It's a long season, can't stress out too much over a two-game stretch, even at the start of the season
