Yeah, it is kind of strange. Breer (who is very football savvy) is clearly thinking of Fehoko as a TE. I do know that the team said early in the offseason that they wanted Simi to gain weight to have some TE duties (I’ll try to find something on it). Breer watched practice, so he must’ve seen Fehoko playing some TE or having some TE duties. At least that’s my guess.

At 6-3 225 (before any weight gain) he has the size to be a receiving, move TE. He’d probably the the fastest in the league.

I’m not sure. All I know is that everyone is talking about how well Simi has been playing… so I’m eager to see how they’ll use him. Some TE? No TE? All TE? Very intriguing.

Apparently in the Tongan language, the word "Simi" translates as "Rico" and "Fehoko" means "Gathers"...

Not just the team, he's mentioned playing both WR and TE gives him chance for playing time. I'm guessing hybrid but either way, from what we are seeing in practice he's getting some major targets.

I loved LVE. It seemed he never missed a tackle and was in on many. (Long ago). Maybe he gets back to that and if he wants more money from some team next year he better.

Serious question........would you offer LVE a long-term deal if returns to his rookie form or let him walk?
I make him a 2 way player....I think he could play some TE. People forget he's played 8 man football...and he's got great hands.

Agreed...Hope he can show case his ceiling all year...I hope another team over pays. I hope that deal set LVE up for life...We have a younger neck/spine lottery ticket already.

When I watched the video of the one on ones he looked like a TE. Deceptive speed for a big guy but not very agile. I think Mckeon might get edged out .. and possibly sprinkle as well with the emergence of Ferguson.

I always liked Breer when he wrote for DMN because he wasn't a fluff guy.
His report feels like real football discussion.
He doesn't mention kickers because well they are kickers and you figure that out.
WR looks stronger than anticipated given the suggested lack of depth but there are some in-house answers.
OL is concerning because you lack depth there.
And good grief how good is Micah? I once lobbied against drafting him and woof that was a bad take. He's Lavar Arrington on a bad day and could be Lawrence Taylor if he reaches his ceiling.

We should find out more about our WR’s against Denver in these joint practices. Remember the Denver defense that shut us down?…..

they will bring in some OL help late in the process

same reason to why they arent addressing WR , they want the young guys to get all the reps really develop as much as possible and those same OL available now will be similar in talent to those right before week one prep happens to find swing and depth vet help..

walk, no question

he will be on the sidelines as soon as he gets a multi year deal

with Parsons Cox and Clark we should just draft a LB in rds 4-6 next year no need to pay this guy

I hope you are right.
I look at these two positions very differently.

WR3/WR4 is one of easier NFL positions to fill with a replacement level player.
OL is much harder as there are a dearth of NFL caliber OL out there.
And I don't trust Dallas to actually trade for a guy who wouldn't start here.
Which realistically means letting Tyron play a few games hurt or some such.

Sprinkle is a pure blocking option. They likely keep him for goal line and short yardage.
More interesting look might be 2 rosters out when they have to pay Schuiltz a large deal.
Can Fehoko/Ferguson/McKeon/Sprinkle form a TE group?
Going to need a lot of growth but there's potential to piece that together and very cheaply.

Fehoko isn't a TE. He will play some of the spots of a move TE like Noah Brown does at most.
