that's an expected typical Dallas team. Let's see if this one can be different. If they go 0-2, then they are really an 8-9 team.

You notice how all of his responses to you has me brought up in them for some reason or another?

The kid BEGS for my attention on the daily, constantly commenting on things I post, but I just ignore his rambles.

It clearly bothers him.

I prefer you don't respond to my post. Your responses do absolutely nothing for me. I'm here strictly to remind other posters how much of a troll you are. That is all. In fact, I think it would be beneficial for both of us if you just put me on your ignore list so that I don't have to waste any of my time actually having to respond to boring post like the one above. I would do it but then I wouldn't be able to remind all the real fans on this board that you are here for only one reason.

If you choose not to just put me on your ignore list, buckle up cupcake. We've got a lot of season left and I'm sure you have a lot more trolling to do and I won't be off the site as much as during the off-season.

Personally, I don't think Hurts is the future for you guys. I don't follow them much though I do confess.

I know it's a weird comment to make, but the Bengals (even with an AFC title) still do not scare me.

The AFC was weak A F last season with exception of two or three teams and they got hot at the exact right time. It happens that way sometimes.

It’s only acceptable because of the opponents. If you’d read further post Im expecting us to contend for division and playoffs.

But these first two along with LA, Green Bay and Titans are our most predictable losses or games we as fans shouldn’t expect to win. Doesn’t mean we can’t. Good news is the rest of them are very winnable.
the run rate and performance indications with MM and Dak make the chances of recovering from an 0-2 start extremely unlikely. Dak has ups and downs during the season as well as we have seen. let us see how this unfolds but this season is where dak needs to surprise and impress. MM is coaching for his job this season . No playoffs means goodbye. A one and done may also mean goodbye. Quinn in .

Id strongly suggest not following any kind of negative rhetoric following an 0-2 start against this stiff competition which was the intent of this thread.

We have a fairly easy schedule overall beyond these handful of more potential losses. No legit reason why we couldn't overcome an 0-2 start. Now if we were to stumble against the following games we are expected to win with NY and Wash, then at 0-4 we could sound the alarms .

But overall I can easily see 10 wins which will land us right in the mix for the playoffs . Assuming Dak is healthy of course .

No one in the NFL should scare us. But there are a few teams which will provide us much stiffer matchups and competition. Teams we won’t necessarily expect to beat. Doesn’t mean we can’t beat them.

Going 0-2 to start the season would be a big red flag for this team....sure the division is weak enough that the Cowboys could still make the playoffs, but it would be a huge sign that this team yet again is set up to run through weak teams but be one and done in the post season. Been there done that and pretty tired of it. Time for this team to actually be competitive at a superbowl or NFCC level or blow it up and rebuild.

Teflon Dak can't beat a playoff team if his life depended on it and everyone is ok and proclaiming his greatness when he is beating up on Dog teams.
Ladies and Gent's you are happy with mediocrity so enjoy!

No he cant by himself, but the Cowboys with Dak as the QB just last year won 3 games against playoff teams....and I dont think his life was on the line for the results ....

With our brutal beginning with Bucs and Bengals at home it’s very likely we could start 0-2. Which shouldn’t be alarming . I’d be very surprised to win either of these games.

The good news is we have NY and Wash following . And then Rams and at Philly. But then it gets much easier after that with Lions and Bears.

5-3 or worse case scenario 4-4 at the bye puts us in good shape down the stretch to contend for division and playoffs.

9 or 10 wins still keeps us in contention for division and playoffs which for basically a retooling season about all we can hope for. And we’ll need to stay relatively healthy . If we over achieve it could be better but we’ll have to upset some teams we won’t be favored to win. I think 10-7 is a good goal.

Giants and Washington won't be easy games for them as well. They are not a good enough team to start off 0-2 and then go on a run. They need to at least go 1-1. They go 0-2 at home it will say a lot about who they are and where this season will go.

I’m not sure I agree. Can’t put too much emphasis on 0-2 based on your opponents . Much like 4-4 at the bye shouldn’t prevent us from still winning 10 maybe 11 games which is where I see us this year based on schedule .

If you examine our schedule closely 2-4 is very possible too then ending up at 4-4 at the bye .

2nd half of season much easier. Only Packers and Titans look like games we shouldn’t expect to win.

It's funny, but you'd 100% be one of the first to call others "trolls" for making a thread like this.

Suggesting we only beat the bad teams and lose to all the good ones would be "trollish" behavior according to you.

LOL, love how these Dak apologists are already making excuses and setting the bar lower than a snake's belly. Does not surprise me at all. Makes stronger case for why even bother paying Dak this huge contract just to go out and lose to all the good teams. Heck even Rush at QB might be able to beat the scum of the NFL, at a fraction of the price.

Most fans agree Dak was over paid . That’s on our ownership not the fans.

But Dak is a level QB that helps us beat the average to below average teams which enables us to be a 9-12 win team rather than a 4-8 win team .

I’m not sure most Cowboy fans think Dak is good enough to beat QB’s like Brady, Rodgers, Stafford , Burrows, etc. Dak is more in the next group .

Of course , we’re all ready for Cowboys to take it to next level but not sure why we’d believe this team and season is expected ? It’s certainly not based on our recent history or current trends.

Right , last year was about as good as it gets for Cowboys this era. It would have been nice to win a playoff game but surely no one expected us to beat LA, Tampa or Green Bay?

Yea, I suspected some of the Dak trolls were posing as a Cowboy fan. Egirl fan makes sense. No one hates us more.

IDK. I still see 10-11 wins out there even with likely expected losses to Bucs, Bengals, Rams , Packers and Titans. We might upset one of them but we’ll lose some we shouldn’t.

You have a generational defensive talent and a franchise QB. I'm perfectly fine with high expectations for this team. It's not like this roster has a few premium players and the rest of the team would struggle to make the Jets. Overall it's a really strong roster. Best in the league? No, but i'm not sure there is any team in todays NFL that the top roster isnt that far away from the #10 or so roster. Assuming we avoid the catastrophic injury if this is a fringe playoff team thanks to playing in a weak division I fully expect major changes going into 2023.

Generational defense ? It was 19th ranked last year in total defense ?

And we lost several key starters from last years 13 win division winner. 2 starters on OL which leaves uncertainty. Our WR1 which with Gallup out we still don’t have a legit starter on other side for Lamb or slot. Several question marks there.

This team by most analysts is being pegged as 5th best team in conference at best behind LA, GB, Tampa and SF.

It will be very difficult for the Bucs to beat the Cowboys in week 1. Especially, if the Cowboys are healthy.

Yes, chap!
These motley (look it up, ya southern yahoos, it means assorted, varied and not unkempt) Cowboys almost beat the Bucoos only last season!
Yes, some detractors will say, but it is a different Cowboys team.
So true!
But so are the Bucs a different team.

And wouldn't it be sweet for our D to showcase the begiining of the end for methuselah Brady?

The Bengals, sadly, can put a beatdown on the Cowboys any time.
1-1 in both games.

With the Bucs at our home, it is definitely, in me mind, an "upset" waiting to happen.

Plenty of fans will be jumping off if the Cowboys start 0-2. A majority of the fan base still hasn’t gotten over the playoff loss to San Francisco. An 0-2 start might lead to a Cowboyszone meltdown.
Part time out of the closet fans only when we win. I enjoy it even when we lose. As long as we give our best effort. What upsets me is when we lose and we shouldn’t have because of a stupid mistake or a missed field goal. That’s when I get pissed.
