Missing an assignment while learning the playbook in training camp is a legit excuse. Learn, get yelled at and move on.

If you were a coach/teacher, I'd hate to be your student.
Yeah, you would quit and leave the school for another because you simply can't handle getting coached better.

1. You can’t tell a whole lot from a training camp practice. Much of what they’ll do in the regular season schematically isn’t in use…. Particularly on the OL. Coaches also put players in compromised positions on purpose, among many other things they do.

2. Geezus, it’s Micah Parsons. He’s going to do that to nearly everyone.

He's had some time to work with our profound coaching staff so I'm sure his play is declining lol

He keeps on getting beat. These are pros, not peewee league. How would you coach them? Tap them on the back, give them a hug and tell them it's ok?
So you think pros are perfect throughout camp? You serious?

If you want to judge players soley off TC clips with zero context, go right ahead and waste your time.

We have a pretty tough DE when Parsons is there. Not many OT's could stop him last year. I think (hope) he'll be better against human DE's
That's what I'm thinking. Parsons makes a lot of people look bad. This generation's LT or Ray Lewis is going to make offensive linemen look bad. Rarely is he going to face a talent like #11 so going against him in practice is going to be tough. Steele proved last year he can be productive.

He didn't look like a diamond in the rough, he looked like a jag, because that's what he is.

The Cowboys cut a superior - albeit overpaid - player in Collins. There's no comparison between him and Steele.

Bobby Belt said on media mash that Steele can block the technician type DEs in the league. The ones like Micah are the ones he doesn't do well against.

Not concerned. I expect average play from Steele just like he's shown us over the last couple years, solid but nothing spectacular.

Collins was Pro Bowl caliber in 2019 but regressed mightily since then which is why the team got rid of him.
He still performed at a much higher level than Steele and also didn’t need help from ZM.The eye test shows Lael to be the better player and PFF agrees.
2021 PFF rankings:
TS 64.5
LC 82
That’s a big difference.

That’s a big difference.

PFF also shows Collins gave up 8 penalties and 2 sacks in 671 snaps played.

PFF says Steele gave up the same 8 penalties and 2 sacks but in 910 snaps, which favors Steele.

The eye test shows we were running the ball great with Steele at RT. Won 6 in a row with him there in fact.

Collins is a major disappointment, which Cincy will find out for themselves.

That was before Dak injury and his severe regression the rest of the year.Zeke injury had nothing to do w/ it either. With a struggling QB and injured RB, of course the running game will suffer.

I haven't heard any negatives on Steele. Not every lineman can be a 1st or 2nd round draft picks. There are plenty of starting formerly undrafted linemen in the NFL today. Seems like almost every team has one.

The Cowboys had one for all three Super Bowls in the 90's, Mark Tuinei. They had an undrafted starter for their first Super Bowl championship in 1971, Center Dave Manders. In the 1977 championship they had a 13th round draft pick starting on the O-line, Herbert Scott.

The guys that make it are the ones that stick, work hard, and improve along the way. Steele earned his starting position on the team. At the very least we know the Cowboys are more concerned with Mcgovern than Steele. Otherwise, they would have Tyler Smith competing at RT instead of LG.
