Does anyone see this kind of thread on other teams’ boards? I’m not trying to be facetious—just wondering aloud.

Gotcha. I guess I forgot, lol.
The truth is... almost everyone here talks about Dak more than anything else.

He's the QB and the most popular player on the team. There's just more stuff out there that involves him. There are threads every day about him.

But the main issue with some and why they hark on and say that I "only talk about Dak" is because I don't believe he walks on water.

It's pretty easy when there's been 26 years of nothing.

You'd trust nothing in your life that has failed every year for 26 years. Why the Cowboys?

Because you think if you don't drink the kool aid you're somehow less of a fan? Why do they have your unconditional trust? Why can't I expect them to earn my trust back? Why does that make me less of a fan in your eyes?

Your definition of “drinking the Kool aid” is anyone that doesn’t cry 24/7. Being a normal fan is not the same as “unconditional trust”, but I get the feeling logic is wasted on you.

I’ve never been to another teams fan forum. What’s it like over there ?

And our draft has potential to be good . It will mostly depend on our top 2 picks . Will they become centerpieces in our trenches for years to come or not. The others look like potential contributors. Only time will tell.
I logged in a couple of times on the Eagles board—maybe a half dozen times over several years—just to see what they were saying. Lots of bitterness and delusional envy over there!

We are seeing this draft class practice against teammates.

We won't know how good or how bad this draft class is until the third year.
It didn't take 3 years to know Micah and Trevon were excellent and those draft classes were solid at worst because of those guys.
The Cowboys draft well and have for a long time.
They deserve no such kudos for free agency.

Nah, logic isn't lost on me, but delusion is.

Delusion probably IS wasted on you, being filled with too much already, eh?

Your nonstop crying isn’t changing anyone’s mind, gaining you friends or accolades, or raising the bar in any kind of agenda. It’s a monumental waste of time.

There is promise in this draft class because they addressed the positions that departed, OG, DE, WR and TE.

I was pretty high on the class of 21; however, only one player really stood out and several of those players really need to step up this season.

I do think the 3 year evaluation rule is over. That was at a time when rookies, except RB's, had a hard time getting on the field and some HC's wouldn't let rookie OL near it unless injury forced.

Now, the 1st rounders are supposed to contribute immediately and the 2nd day picks before the season is over. Decisions have to be made more quickly now because most coaching staffs only have about 3 years.

I do think, out of necessity, many are putting too much on this draft class to accelerate the process of acclimating. Being dependent on Smith, Williams, Tolbert and Ferguson to fill the gaps quickly might be a little overly optimistic.

I'm not trying to do any of those things.

I'm here to talk about the Cowboys.

The giants and Eagles had more first round picks so of course there’s might be better. I liked bpa OL in Smith although I’m not sure where he plays as of now I suppose LG. I love the Sam Williams pick. Will have to see on Tolbert, Clark, and the other OT they drafted. I have a feeling it’ll take most of them a red shirt year, with immediate needs for Smith and Tolbert to play. My biggest hopes are Sam Williams and the OT break out this year and they finally lucked out on some non first round picks. The NT was a nice pick too but he prob needs a year to bulk up.

No one knows how good their draft is until the games start. The moment of truth is when rookies are facing real bullets.
When Tyler Smith and Steele start killing drives with penalties....don't say I didn't warn you.

Some of the first words mentioned about Tyler Smith the day we drafted him was he was a penalty machine. So far in practice that hasn’t been happening according to reports, we’ll just have to see what happens when the games start.

Yeah. You just be you. Everybody knows around here I'm Daknostic. I think he's good. Just not great. And that's fine.
Does he get paid too much? Well yeah, but that's the FO's fault and the farcical argument of "market rate" is unfortunately a real argument because we're seeing guys get paid left and right that don't deserve it.
I may not align with some of your philosophies, but that doesn't make me better, or you better.
Just different and there shouldn't be a problem with that.

I can't speak for others though.

Too funny. @rambo2 is one of the biggest homers on these boards. Are we really upset that he made a thread praising Philly’s draft?

I don't know why people can't be more objective. We all are "homerish" but giving other teams props seems to be for the honest/mature. Speaking of Philly who seems to have had a nice draft and off season they do have a HUGE question mark at QB. I think we all should be concerned cause if Hurtz matures into a good QB Philly has 6 picks in rounds 1 and 2 over the next two years. That's concerning. So as Cowboy fans we better hope Hurtz stays mediocre because if doesn't we are potentially in trouble. My Eagle fan friend keeps me informed and I know they are salivating over the generational DE coming out next year and they have the picks to get him.

I'm not fond of the team obviously, but, my family is pretty cool overall. I don't like their choice of team lol, but I'm not going to love my family any less because they're Eagles fans. That'd be taking football too seriously.

nah, it's ok to hate them :)
