not much would change, quinn would be stuck with KM, and same asst coaches, same players.

The penaltys were from poor coaching by many of the coaches, and because these are guys who dont normally play.
Also first game of the year, and refs were flag happy, with many bad calls, and no calls.

What is the WORST thing that could happen if Booger fired Corky tomorrow??? There is NO WAY I see this many penalties under Quinn....Corky continues to TOTALLY look disengaged from whats going during the game....he is a joke!!!

The funniest part is you think something would magically change if Quinn was the HC? As if all of a sudden the penalties would stop? Or that Cooper Rush would somehow be good?

Laughable

If this season falls apart, Peyton or Quinn will be the coach next year.

All anyone needs to do is look into the eyes and facial expressions of Mike McCarthy to see that he knows he's in trouble. For anyone in his position to see that his troops aren't responding to his attempts to cut down on his players' mistakes, it's quite obvious that he's feeling stressed and likely, freaking desperate. He knows Jerry is watching his every move and perhaps thinking in terms of sending him packing, in favor of hiring another HC.

I definitely wouldn't want to be in Mike McCarthy's shoes -- especially after Jerry openly made comments, in the past, to the effect of McCarthy being somewhat of a temporary fixture as his HC. The fact that he even mentioned Sean Payton and Dan Quinn as his possible replacements, likely didn't help MM's level of confidence, in terms of his sense of belonging. I can hardly imagine the temerity of any owner treating his HC in such a cold manner. o_O
If Jerry's words take confidence from a man with a guaranteed contract I don't know what to tell you.

Having a guaranteed contract is one thing that might instill a feeling of confidence.

Suggesting to the same guy that he is not safe is yet, another proposition, entirely.

I wouldn't give a crap if I was confident in my abilities. That's just me though.

McCarthy went through one hell of a wringer in Green Bay that should give most any man causes to question his abilities!

Jerry exacerbated it even more. To top it all off, he also cautioned MM not to interfere with Kellen Moore's OC play calling.

Once that went awry, he was instructed to support him by offering help and suggestions to help Moore for him to succeed.

I don't doubt that Jerry may make sure to make good of his threat to find another patsy to succeed McCarthy at year's end.

I think the reason why we get so many holding calls is lack of good coaching and bad technique. Philbin should have never been selected as oline coach. They should have kept Marc Colombo.

How can it be coaching, if it was coaching all the linemen would get them, you don't see Zack,Steel, and Smith for the most part getting them. It's when guys get beat they hold plain and simple.

Honestly, there's nothing you can say to make me change my mind. If MM has a lack of confidence he should be fired. No gray area to me.

I don't care whether you change your mind or not. I'm simply stating my opinion as to what I think is happening with that situation.

It’s going to be a long season. Not because of the team, because of the “fans”

Let's be realistic. The fans don't make all the erroneous decisions that cause this team to lose. Look no further than the FO for that.
