Personally, I'll take Josh Johnson. I can't believe this dude has been trying to break into this league for more than a DECADE! It's a good thing our starters weren't in the game last night because this dude who looked like an MVP probably would have carved up our first-string D like Wilson did on Thursday.
Josh Johnson is 36 years old. His 1st year in the NFL was 2009.
- Hopefully he looks good against 2nd/3rd string defenders.

Cooper vs DiNucci??? Either way if Dak goes down we finish top 3 for next years draft. I say reload.

Shane Buechele played in Pokes backyard in his second year in KC as an UDFA . Would have been a good pick up last yr as competition as back up . Be interesting off the Broncos game if DiNucci leads off against the Chargers with Cooper Grier later .

Johnson looked and played a hell of a lot better than the two who had stars on their helmets. Age is just a number, Johnson looked and played like he was in his early twenties.

I think we heard that same song last year...dinucci looked halfway good (better than rush) against the 3rd/4th stringers. Got the opportunity to play against the 1st/2nd stringers and stunk up the joint. I have no confidence that dinucci is better than rush... it's just a different type of suck.

Honestly, I don't believe we really have a true 2nd QB on the roster.

Romo never ever had Nooch’s crazy delivery though. DiNucci is totally side arm all the time, don’t think I have ever seen him with an over the shoulder throw. That being said I thought he was much more in control last night. I like the kid and it seems that his teammates do as well.

Romo threw side arm a lot in his early days before he became the starter. He worked hard and was coachable and became a better QB for it. That DiNucci is still throwing those sidearms at his stage is a bad sign.

Somebody not named Rush needs to win the backup job.
Somebody not named Rush has to show they are better than rush
Ben didn’t last camp
I’m more excited about seeing Grier
Ben may continue to grow as a player but I don’t think he’s ready yet, though so far he looks better than last year and that’s what you are looking for in a guy you are trying to develop

We need to see Grier for sure
He is more talented than either Ben or cooper but we have to see if that translates to the field during a game
Seems like he’s having a good camp but it’s a different world when people are coming after you for real

Romo had some sidearm at times but not nearly as much at all. From the looks of it it does not seem that anyone has told or coached DiNucci to change his throwing motion. I have not seen anything that mentions that they are working on changing his throwing motion, I could have missed it or they are are just deciding not to mess with it.

He doesn't use that different arm angle for all his throws. His deep ball is more traditional arm angle. He breaks out the side arm for the quick flick.

i saw improvement.
but i ain't puttin' nooch at QB2.
no way.
no how.
no chance.

i was disappointed in rush.
this opens the door for grier.
can't wait for the next game.
Why not? At present, Nooch is the 2nd best QB on the roster, and I'm not sure it's close.

And he's already proven that he is not an NFL starter.

Got a friend who lives in Georgetown, and his 15 year old niece is a better NFL QB than Rush.

Sign her up lol
Hopefully Grier can be the answer, but that remains to be seen
One thing for sure, if we keep getting 17 penalties a game it won’t matter who the backup QB is

Do any of you remember seeing Rodger Staubach playing with Dallas before he became the Starting QB!?!..."Rodger the Dodger"...The Nooch was scrambling around in a similar matter against Denver... IMO!...When someone asked Coach Landry why he started Staubach or Craig Morton...Landry replied "He makes things happen!...The Nooch has been Terrible...Interesting....and maybe one day good enough to be the team's back-up.....Stranger things have happened!...
