Alec Baldwin shot a woman. Intentional or not, that has to be a crime. A jury of his peers should hear the prosecution's story and his defense if he cares to make one. The wheels of justice turn slow for a certain class... sometimes they don't seem to turn at all.
And regardless of the criminal prosecutions, or not, civil cases against Mr. Baldwin have already been filed.

But, but, but He said he did not pull the trigger. Could not happen to a nicer hypocrite! Karma always finds a way.

Yeah, being in Hollywood no chance he would ever do any time; so hit him in the wallet BIG TIME!

He should be charged...but I doubt it. Can the victim's family sue him?

It seems law enforcement will not make a move on Baldwin. I hope the victim's family prevails in a civil suit. Baldwin is the posterchild for elites who feel they are above the law.

He keeps claiming he never pulled the trigger; but the experts all say that weapon cannot be fired without pulling the trigger.

But he will of course walk; just hope the SOB in bankrupted by civil suits.

Didn't eyewitnesses say early on that he pointed the weapon at the crew person? That right there shows threat since it's a real firearm and the crewperson wasn't in the scene and they weren't filming a scene at the time. I believe they might have said he pulled the trigger. Gun safety says never to point a gun at someone even if you're sure it's unloaded. He should get sued into oblivion.

And yeah, he pulled the trigger. He was mad, had a little tantrum and pointed the gun and pulled the trigger in a revenge fantasy for them daring to speak to him in a non-worshipful way. (if it wasn't straight up murder).

I almost feel sorry for Alec, almost. To be honest, the only people that I feel sorry for in this situation is the victim and her family. Baldwin is so unlikable in so many different ways that I just can’t have any sympathy for him. I guess I never got over the recording of the phone call when he calling his daughter a pig when she was a child. He is an awful human being from everything that I know about him.

As it should be. The idiots that whine and cry about it was not his responsibility to check the weapon are so full of crap.
Any time a weapon in in your hands, YOU are the one ultimately responsible.
AND he had handled weapons in the past and even had been instructed on basic hand gun safety.

RULE #1: ALWAYS assume a weapon is loaded with real ammunition until YOU personally check it.

That is not a good thing to hope for. Taking his earned money from him and his family and future family is not something to want. That is a weird thought pattern.

I haven't followed the story at all. I am more likely to believe in a nefarius plot to kill this woman rather than an accident. But if they can not prove intent to do harm by anyone, it seems like a bad reason to ruin peoples lives.

I think the real issue is not that he pulled the trigger, but that he and the others allowed live rounds to be stored randomly around the production set area including one in Baldwin's holster.

The investigation found that the armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, loaded Baldwin’s gun with a live round instead of a dummy round. The rounds had similar markings, but were different colors. Other live rounds were also found on the set, including one in Baldwin’s holster.

https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainmen...-shooting-set-alec-baldwins/story?id=92278109

Halyna Hutchins, 42, was working as a cinematographer on the Western when she was shot and killed by the film's star, Baldwin, during an accident while he was practicing using a Colt .45 revolver on set. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the shooting.

Hutchins' family said they support the charges and found them warranted "for the killing of Halyna Hutchins with conscious disregard for human life."

"Our independent investigation also supports that charges are warranted," attorney Brian Panish said in a statement on behalf of the family. "It is a comfort to the family that, in New Mexico, no one is above the law. We support the charges, will fully cooperate with this prosecution, and fervently hope the justice system works to protect the public and hold accountable those who break the law."

He ENDED a life and he should pay for it

your reasoning basically sounds like no one should ever be held accountable for anything

And by your own admission you know nothing about it but whine about ruining a rich mans life by taking money from him?
Or making him pay for his mistakes JUST LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE DO?

What amazes me is how many try and claim it was not his responsibility. All this for just another Hollywood Bozo

People get murdered all the time, is financially bankrupting them and their family part of the sentencing? His money was earned legally

It is a weird situation as far as intent and guilt go, and what can be proven. I personally don't think it is a crime where someone should be bankrupted, and their family has to pay for it by losing legally acquired money.
