Malik Davis had a nice game against Denver and the Chargers game is where one of the three backs competing as the third back can start to separate.

The thing is a vet like Corey Clement wasted away on the roster last year what makes anyone think a third back sees any meaningful snaps games 1-17 .

Personally a change of pace fresh legs maybe a handful of touches some screens to a guy like Davis do this offense a world of good. Teams like SF and the Rams throw multiple backs at an opponent .

Which third running back is the best special player?

Goodwin and Gifford were 2021 special teams players still on the roster. Who takes their places?

I pay absolutely no mind to scrimmages nor pre-season matchups. It's like eating the salad before the steak comes out.

Goodwin is the best ST player they have . Where is he going didn’t they re sign him in 22 as they showed Cooper and others out the door to save “ cap “ .

I think Davis might end up being back # 3 .

Monday review of the game meetings, focus was on the penalties of course. But MM seen things he liked as well.

MM said only 2 missed tackles on defense and ST's.
They went into the game wanting to establish the running game, and did that.
On the flip side, the run defense was good also. Bohanna had 4 tackles, and the DT's attacked the double teams well.
Tyler Smith did a lot of really good things, and was physical. His mistakes were technical and be corrected.
Our D was a definite bright spot. O was just horrific. I'm interested to see what Grier can do, hope he plays a lot Saturday.

Brightest take away is that most of those guys won't make the team or get much playing time if they do.

McCarthy chose to promote the positive, because his job is on the line. But I'd be weary of a coach that cares more about his job than winning. Jimmy or Parcells would have called it a stink fest and let everyone know how they felt.
good point ! they would have.
JG would have said they would work on getting better, watch the tape, and it is a process !
Mike is side stepping, maybe he worries about offending players or jerry.

ROWDY HAS MADE ME BIPOLAR!!!

everyone hates rowdy, yet jones keeps him around ! Is jerry that out of touch with fans?>?
How come the media never trash rowdy? Someone contact the undisputed show, or colin and ask them to start bringing up the rowdy thing !

Someone here do a poll on rowdy. Should jones get rid of rowdy or keep him? maybe some media who come here will see it.
