In fairness we do have the best guard of the last decade along with a 1st rounder. If it's not the best, it really should be very close.
Martin is still top shelf, but he may not be the top G in the league anymore.

Nah I agree, it's probably Quentin Nelson now but he's still up there, and paired with a 1st rounder makes it a fairly decent duo.

Quentin Nelson and whoever the other Colts guard is.

I'd have it:
1. Cleveland
2. Colts
3. Dallas

But if Smith can be as good as I think he is we could very well be no.1 by season's end. I'd have a clear gap in 3rd given how unproven Smith is but it's not a horrible call to ask the question IMO

Curious who you think is the best guard in the NFL (when healthy of course). I say its Nelson & its not really close. His running mate is rated pretty well too. I didn't watch a lot of Colts last year and I know Nelson was injured but I would have to think they would be in the running.
A healthy Nelson, tied w/ our own Zach, IMO.

I believe we could have the best guard tandem in the NFL if Tyler Smith is what we think he is. Let me know if you think there is a better guard tandem.
Right now? Half the league or more? We have an all time great and a guy who has played one preseason game.

that being said I think we end up close to what you are saying even if not this year, but we need to tap the brakes a little until he plays against NFL starters at least

LMAO at us fans! All it will take is one bonehead rookie game where Tyler either has too many holds or loses a critical moment for us and these early HOF inductions will quickly turn into “bench his butt” threads.

You're claiming Danny Pinter is a top player in the NFL? Why are you claiming this? Are you aware that he's only had 4 starts in his career?

Yeah, he's basically Connor McGovern but with better form in the small number of games he's played. To me, that trumps no games but as I mentioned can be quickly overtaken if Smith shows a little bit early in the season.

I don’t mind speculating based on strength and athleticism. His a bad man. Tandem why not
