Even if he doesn't get one TD on special teams this season he will affect field position in a positive way.

Yah, a bit early to tell but a punt and a kick off return in a single game? Mighty impressive to say the least. When is the last time the Cowboys had that happen? If not td returns, the Cowboys could be getting some much better field position this season.
Heck, he might even have teams with aK who can’t get it into the EZ for a touchback think about kicking OOB just to avoid a huge return.

I do not think it is totally ridiculous to think he could return 2 or 3 kicks to the house this season.

If he does this he will help Dallas dominate the third phase of football - special teams. This directly affects the metric of field position, and gets into the mind of opposing kickers and directional kicking.

The easiest thing for a kicker to do is kick right down the middle of the field. One you have to account for a returner and directional kick it gets more complicated and the risk goes up.

Shanking a punt. Kickoffs out of bounds.

It's great being able to talk about having another weapon on the team.

I would wait and see him do this in the regular season with the regular ST units on the field.

I think he's a great addition but that was a pretend game and we don't even know how many of those Chargers will even be in the NFL in September.

He's definitely caught the eye of all of us.

Running back punts or kickoffs for tds are not dime a dozen. Creating good to excellent field position would also be a difference and a big special teams contribution.

Hopefully, Moore can dial up some really nice plays utilizing his natural abilities. He also had a nice end around play. Moore really got to take advantage of this weapon and make the oppositions D sweat.

Really looking forward to how he's used and often; with his speed and running ability and style it give the Boys another dimension not seen here lately.

He's definitely a guy you want to try and get the ball into his hands in space and see what happens!

Here you Glim.
I could see this guy making the most spectacular play that could totally make our season and it getting called back because some jackwagon blocked somebody in the back grabbed his face mask or did some other totally unnecessary act of stupidity.
Yeah and it’s worse when it’s a hold or bad block is completely on the other side of the field that has nothing to do with or would effect the play otherwise..

Shannon Sharpe predicted eight.

I'm saying five, which would still be an NFL record . . . and in an era where such a feat is more difficult to accomplish.

I think Tuprin Time is up for the task.

Those short, skinny guys who are fast, quick, etc, are so damn slithery, they're lethal.

His height gives him a huge advantage with that kind of speed, vision and instinct.

Dude was an asset in the USFL. He'll be one here, too.

By mid-season, Vegas will have a Turpin return TD over/under. :0

He's definitely a guy you want to try and get the ball into his hands in space and see what happens!

You move everyone to the opposite side of the field, or steer them away from defenders.

No doubt they are scheming up plays just for him.

Moore is going to have a lot of fun with this guy.

Nope. Who was the last return man that made a difference in any teams season?

Exactly.

Maybe, and maybe not. DOUBTFUL on the kickoffs....just too many touchbacks. Punts? Maybe....sure looked the part the other night. I love the idea of him in the slot tho....salivating at the mismatches he can help create. Most teams don't have nickel or dime backs that can cover him

They need to use him like KC used Hill,,,, or at least try,,,

absolutely...as I said in another thread about him, he can be used to stretch a D vertically and not even get the ball. He'll still put stress on them over the top and open things up underneath for Lamb, Schultz and co.

Or do pooch and / or squib kicks to other Cowboys players to avoid the same result.

I thinks its already obvious this kid was a grand slam find and probably the best return man in the game already. But will Moore have the ability to get him involved in the offense beyond end arounds? Will the kid have issues with fumbles? Who knows at this point.

yeah i saw 3 guys that he barely got by and had they gotten him man he’d need a serious ice bath later.
But they didn't catch him......almost don't count....lol.
There's been plenty of smaller players that have been successful. It's tough for those bigger guys to get a clean shot on those quick, fast small guys, it's not like we want him carrying the ball between the tackles. His biggest exposure outside of KR/PR would be the jet sweeps, reverses etc, plays close to the LOS, but line him at WR the risk of those bigger players lessen, he'll be matched up against DBs.

People are talking about the effect he will have on ST, shanked punts etc, he will have an effect on defense too if he lines up on offense. Some fans may want to discredit him because of his size, but there isn't one DC that is going to disrespect that speed. Now they have to account for that kind of speed on the field.
