Eagles (Minshew)
Commanders (Howell)
Giants (Taylor)
Saints (Dalton)
Dolphins (Teddy)
49ers (Jimmy G)

… I can keep going

The problem isn’t bringing them back. It’s that they show limited to zero upside. At least if you’re going to lose games, do it with a guy like A Chris Streverler or an Easton Stick who shows potential. That’s my issue.

Eagles contemplated cutting Minshe, he’s trash. SF is the only team that matters in that list. Dalton???? Hahaha, enough said . Just stop

Carolina not wanting Grier back kinda speaks volumes.

I don't see the big deal here.

If it's only a game or two, Rush has proven he can fill that role admirably.

If it's any longer than that, it's season over, so what's the difference who plays QB?

Not to get into this argument, but I'll give you Taylor, but Howell is a rookie and hasn't proven anything, Dalton didn't look great for us, and Teddy didn't exactly light it up in his last two stops, and Jimmy G isn't a backup, he's just stuck in 49ers hell...

Rush should not have been brought back. You want 3 then it should have been Grier and DiNucci.

We lost games with Andy Dalton.

I'd love to see the combined record of NFL teams over the past 10 years with a backup QB starting. I bet it's terrible. I'm not a fan of Rush but he did win a game on the road against a decent team. That has to say something.

Really dude. Name me 5 NFL teams with starting level backup QB's ready to operate the team? Most teams that lose their franchise QB for several games
head to the cellar.
Developmental time in a system, familiarity has so much more value than most want to admit.
Coaching staffs want to have someone that is already system educated @QB, no way this team was going into the season with fresh slate @QB2, just entirely too much to learn
if called up to play in the short term.
If you are really looking to upgrade the QB2 than you better start allocating some draft capital to obtain one.

Obviously, for all million times, Jerry and Stephen like their guys. Grier looks very similar to Dak and may have a future here.

He very well could, that is not an out of bounds response at all.
Grier still has a ceiling, how tall that ceiling is, still very speculative at this point.

Obviously one will have to come off the practice squad so the team will have a game day backup.

Or could the team be considering bringing in an outsider ... ?

Bringing in an outsider who hasn't practiced with the team and doesn't know the offense? Not likely, unless a starter gets cut.

My money is on Rush being the game day back up, because experience, for better or worse.

That is the current landscape.
