As a TCU fan, I wasn't high on Reagor, but thought Josh Doctson would be good in the NFL. Boy was I wrong. Hopefully Turpin bucks the trend of TCU WRs sucking.

It's about the same compensation actually. Dallas got a 5th and a higher 6th for Cooper. Eagles getting a 7 and at best a future 4 (likely a 5th) for Reagor. I don't know how the draft pick value chart works but to me a 5 and a 6 are about the same as a 7 and a 4.
You do realize our Dallas Cowboy starting qb was a 4th rounder don't ya?

LOL. The contract wasn’t an issue as evidenced by the Browns restructuring him upon acquisition.

The answer is that Jerry and Stephen just aren’t very good at trades like this.

Yea, they systematically turned down all of the "good" offers that poured in.

20 million

For a #1 WR is average . . . Price went up this year
Yeah but teams aren’t giving up high picks and taking on big cap numbers as free agency starts. Cle could have kept that $20MM, kept their pick and brought in their own free agents with that cash. Trade values fluctuate depending on time of year. The cowboys bought at the most expensive time and sold at the worst possible time.

teams didn’t really want him. The money just didn’t help.

Some of them ARE Eagles fans. I have a buddy that did the exact same thing on Extremeskins. He posted exactly like some of the guys here. If Washington cut a player, he’ll be missed. If Washington signed a player, he sucks. Then he’d say what Dallas was doing was smart and the skins should be more like them.

Precisely how some guys here do it.

Corey Coleman was another big 12 wr from Doctsons class who was a first round bust as well.

That conference has had alot of WR bust (the theory is the CB talent is arguably the worst of any of the power 5 conferences so there's a lot of stat padders that struggle once there no longer facing 3 star level recuits)

Again, when a guy with a huge contract, lingering injury concerns and questionable locker room vibes also happens to be a guy everyone in the league knows you want to get rid of the price will go way down.

This idea that some superior FO would have fleeced the league for Cooper is just forum nonsense. It’s a case of finding evidence to fit a conclusion. Had we gotten a second or third, the same people would be saying we’re idiots because we didn’t get a first.

I’ve always said that if we ever win another ring under the Jones boys, many on this forum will complain we didn’t win the SB by enough points. And the more time goes on the less of a joke that becomes.

Reagor is a bust and birds wasted a 1st rd pick on him. Many here would come unglued if that happened in Dallas.

we already traded a first for Cooper, won exactly nothing with him, and then traded him for nothing yet you blindly applauded both stupid moves

go figure

Our FO would likely have been able to get something better than a 5th if Stephen had not spoken publicly several times about Cooper not being in their plans. He could have at least kept a poker face and acted like he was still in their plans instead of acting like they were about to release him.

I’m well aware of Cooper’s drop in performance. I’ve posted about it several times. But if Jalen Reagor was enough for a 4th rounder, Cooper should have yielded better IMO.

And by the way- if our Cowboys win a SB I will be thrilled.
