My question is.

The schedule is supposed to be 100 percent random correct?

Denver vs Seattle
Watson playing Houston in his first game back from suspension....

It doesnt seem random at all. That kind of stuff doesnt happen randomly lol
Computer generated (partially)? Yes. Completely random? No. Not in the least.

Can't wait until football season, why did the football heaven's have to give us TB the first game again, WHO CARES!! LOL

One thing Tom likes to do is get the ball out quick, in last year's game he had a lot of success. I know there's a lot of coaches and players on here. How can we slow him down from making these quick passes. I think our defense for one must get their hands up, and when the ball is caught they MUST wrap up and make the tackle! No YAC, PLEASE GIVE your thoughts..
Hit him. It's the only way. Even if we get a couple of late hit penalties, hit him. Hitting a QB messes up timing and rhythm and speeds up the internal clock making mistakes and TO's much more possible.

You are NOT going to beat Brady w/ coverage.

Why did they schedule us with TB...easy....RATINGS....

Conspiracy Theory thought:
They wanted him play us while his arm was fresh, and not later in the season when it is about to fall off from being a noodle.
That Mara & Goodell is a lethal combo.

As to his quick release, Micah knows more what to expect from this. Brady won't be so lucky this time.

I mean the only thing the NFL did was decide the week of the matchup versus TB. The actual matchups that a team has on any given year are predetermined and you know who they are the moment the previous season ends and you know where everyone placed.

Well I mean it would be a good chance for a Revanche. Dak said to Tom "see you again" last season. Both couldn't make that happen and this game is not exactly the NFCCG, but it would still be a nice conclusion to that story. :)

What I'm really looking forward to is Tom vs. our defence. Should be a nice reality check for us. And imo we're fielding a better D than last year, so why not start 1-0?

I agree about hitting Brady early and often.

But I'm sure Cowboys secondary believe they can make him pay too.

Especially Diggs.

As far as Watson goes, that was manipulated by the league, but not to schedule Houston as a "revenge" game. 11 games seems like an odd number games, but a 10 game suspension would have made his 1st start against Tom Brady and league wasn't going to have that. A 12 game suspension would have made his 1st game against an up and coming face of the league, Burrows, the league didn't want that either.

The NFL couldn't get the full season they wanted, so they worked with what they could. His 1st game back will be a media spectacle, but they didn't want any stars involved and needed a team that would draw the least amount of outside interest, thus.......... the lowly Houston Texans.

Yes, teams and where are known. When, is not decided until until April and adjustments made also.
I am pretty sure the base schedules laid out way before. Then adjusted as to certain events at stadiums take place.
Or even match ups.

such as years ago when cities baseball and football teams shared stadiums. They tried to schedule games on the road in case the baseball team needed the field for the playoffs.
Also divisional games were scheduled in case they needed to flip the venue. Steelers / Pirates and Bengals / Reds. If one MLB was in the playoffs, but the NFL teams was scheduled to be home, they flipped that game so the MLB had the stadium.

I remember that happened a few times back in the 70’ or 80’s.

Pressure up the middle, directly in his face.

Pressure on the edges doesn’t work. He will just step up and throw the ball quickly.

The pocket has to be collapsed in the middle.

That’s why good DT’s are so important.

:hammer: Whammoo....that is how you make TB look mortal. Pressure up the middle with DT's and/or blitzes.

That's why he's still playing at 45. He never gets hit, and even he does, he's got a physical routine that he treats like the bible

The defensive backs, safeties and linebackers should be able to man up the Tampa receivers. Without AB the Bucs don’t have a speed merchant. Gronk killed us last season and he retired. If we can get an up the middle pass rush we could cause problems for Brady.

Good, tight coverage is the best way. Pushing the center into his lap is probably the next best thing.

Going to have to play mistake free football to beat Tom Brady.

3 penalties total last season.

Like people have already said in this thread, Brady doesn’t do well with inside pressure. Without a push up the middle, Brady will just step up to avoid our ends and get rid of the ball.

The DT’s need to play a hell of a game.

Also, Micah Parsons is one of the best A Gap blitzers that I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch. Quinn needs to scheme up some inside pressure for Micah. He can get the DT’s to clear a lane to Brady for Parsons, and he’ll get there in a blink.

If they can get Tampa in some 3rd and longs, they can use the bear front where Sam Williams and Lawrence can play at DT, which will enable them to get to the QB very quickly if they can win with their get off.

It is definitely possible to rattle Brady… but it is difficult. Quinn is going to have to scheme his butt off.

It all starts with stopping the run. If they can do that, they’ll have a chance to unleash the pass rush.
