I understand the nostalgia of the blue pants. I still like the 'Sea Foam" pants better.

I think it's just the lighting in that shot. The jerseys were Navy blue back when Emmitt and Irvin were on the team. They haven't worn Royal blue in a very long time, I think since maybe about '79 or '80.

Classic might refer to white helmets.
