How can there be two completely different assertions like this being reported?

"He hurt himself at a non team approved football camp."

"Nope. He's been here the whole time."

I thought this has already been reported as false. Why would Miller be holding camp when he got a game tomorrow?

I think its safe to say Young has been a complete bust.

yep, this! He played most of last season (9 games) before getting hurt and had the same amount of sacks as our DB Jordan Lewis….
When he was struggling year before some media asking him if he had developed any new pass rush moves to which he replied he had all he needed….tells you all you need to know about his commitment and arrogance. Haven’t seen any improvement from him at all. Sweat and Preston Smith were better DE picks for Wash.

Dont know how many pressures he has had but I am sure they were hoping for more than 9 sacks in 24 games. Amazing the priority they put into drafting blue chippers for the D Line and it hasnt gone well.

He’s really the only one it hasn’t gone well with. Their interior line picks have been fantastic. And Sweat looks like a top end pass rusher.

No Von Millers camp was the first week of June.

What the report is claiming is that Chase Young was suppose to still be under "medical rehab" for his knee all the way till the start of Washingtons training camp but he did a non-approved camp in June (Von Miller Pass Rush Summit) and he ended up re-tweaking his knee while at the Summit.

It was a highly publicized event so I doubt he went (he couldn't exactly sneak on)

You think Miller had his pass rush camp today? It was in June. A bunch of pass rushers attended.

I think it would be pretty easy to verify whether Young attended. There were also some virtual attendees (one writeup mentioned up to 500 if you included virtual participants).

I think it's also common sense that the Commanders, as is commonplace in the city they "call home", would lie or use some semantic technicalities to give the impression that they didn't have a rogue player go hurt himself on his own. Unless, of course, they plan to use that action as a reason to dock his pay or withold guaranteed money.

Edit: Looks like he wasn't actually there. Instead he was going through a grueling, 7 week long hair extension process that involved reclaimed pirate ship rigging.

yeah, the media is very guilty of getting of Tarzan syndrome. build up players who look the part without really asking the tough questions.

The hype with this dude was crazy.
He was anointed a superstar before he even played a down.
He can’t stay healthy. How many years has he been in the league collecting a check on injured reserve?
I have no clue what that nasty mess is on top of his head. A chainsaw would fix it though.
Good riddance.

yeah seemed to me he made the probowl his rookie year based more on reputation anointing than production. He had like 7 sacks as a DE. Great for a rookie and DPOY but average across the league (tied for 27th). Last year he just got stoned all season and then injury. Will be interesting to see what happens in year 3. If he doesn’t show massive production increase over last year, hard to imagine Wash paying big money on a franchise tag or second contract which would pretty much equate to massive draft bust status.
