We know that once Jerry steps away from the team, there's Stephen who follows his Dad's blueprint for mismanaging the team/players. In essence what we have now will continue for many more decades. Is there a grandson or granddaughter waiting in the wings who can continue this trend of poor decision making and collapse in the post-season? I want to prepare my children for the heartache, disappointment, disgust, and anger that accompanies being a fan of America's team.

The future is brighter today than it was during the first 3 quarter of the game last night.

Future of the Boys is the same has it has been. Insanity, Rinse and repeat. Do the same useless managing over and over again every year, still get the same crap results. Nobody should be surprised about last night. I sure wasn't.

Stephen is not better. Different, not better. For all his faults, players love Jerry. Stephen doesn't have that effect. Got to give Jerry credit here, he is a master salesman. Stephen is not. I think things gets dark when Stephen takes over. Either way, they still won't win. But even the salesmanship Jerry offers will be gone.

Defense played pretty darn good. We will fix the offense of line.

Do you really trust this regime to ever find or invest in a top tier QB? I don’t.
Probably not, but defending Dak being our starting QB is just going to be harder and harder to justify.

The fans literally threw trash at him last night as he was running off the field injured again. When have Cowboys fans EVER done that to a QB? They're fed up.

It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Long season.

Just for the record the "start" is a reflection of the quality of your team. From management to athletes to coaches. This team displayed total ineptness. We could see it coming from OTA's. There was no WR to challenge the D last night. CD Lamb (The Savior) had so many drops that I lost count. CD is a complimentary WR not a #1. The OL got our inept QB hurt.

Make no mistake, TB was ripe for being beat but the inept coaching, poor performances, piss poor attitudes of the players, and lack of talent acquisition by Jerrah and Stephen (Oh lord, please help us) shot us dead through our collective empty heads ! Defense was a slight bright spot but wait until they get tired of carrying the water.

I feel it is gonna be a long season gents ! This team looked ill prepared !

It's a cycle

2022: 4-13 season
2023: draft a stud qb/rb/wr or fire a coach here and there and go 11-6 or 12-5 and make the playoffs, Jerrah is happy, we going to da SUPAH BOWL!!! End up losing round 1 or 2.
2024: 8-9
2025: .... rinse and repeat

Do you realize how many upsets there were yesterday. Teams are still playing like it’s preseason. No it’s how you end not how you start. And when you say team. Defense played pretty damn good

Look Whirlwin, I don't give a flying _____________ __________ (fill in whatever expletives you want) what other teams did or how they fared. I care about my team whom I have followed for 56 years. And my team looked like something that fell out of the south end of a northbound cow. I recognize your fandom. I love my Cowboys and that's why this hurts . . . yes, I'm mad and it hurts. I want a winning team with character, winning attitude, professionalism, and big brass balls. As long as there is a jones at the helm we ain't never gonna have that because they fail there!!!!

No.
They'll offer top dollar to any player that gives them few decent games, and start the football nightmare all over again.

Yet, they still spend money on overpriced tickets and jerseys.

Well, one thing is for sure, the offense needs a complete rebuild......coaching staff included.

Defense played good.. Extremely good. For opening day. I’ve been a fan longer than you. So don’t think it doesn’t hurt me too.
