Yes, he does. He either just doesn't know how or is not willing to make the changes to do so. There is a reason why they have been hyping the media/fan attention and the valuation of the franchise.....they have nothing else to say "scoreboard" on, because they aren't going to win on the field.

He wants to win. Just not bad enough. The winning owners of the last 26 Super Bowls all wanted to win bad enough to hire someone else to run their football operations. It’s not rocket science.

Here’s Jerry’s top 3 priorities in order of importance:
  • Make big money.
  • Get to play with his toy with his kids the way he wants to do it.
  • Win.
He wants to win. It’s just not his utmost priority. Otherwise he would have stopped his charade that he’s a “football guy”.

Serious question…

Do you think Jerry wants to win a Super Bowl again before he passes….he’s getting pretty old now

My guess is he is comfortable living in the past
You draft in the middle round you get an average player. 8/8. He’s just happy being competitive. He absolutely wants to win a championship. The problem is he doesn’t know how to do it

Define "wants to win".

How can anyone say that a man who knows his GM is trash but insists on keeping him as GM wants to win? He said so himself.

If you're not doing everything you can to win, then do you really want to win?

He wants to win. But he wants to win his way and over 30 years his way has failed over and over again but he refuses to concede that perhaps his way might be wrong.

Yes, he WANTS to win.

I WANT to make $1B a year and turn my age back to 22.

The problem is that neither of us have the knowledge or talent to achieve it.

Everyone keeps proclaiming that he wants to win. There is much evidence that he doesn't care. Exactly what is it that makes you guys keep proclaiming this?

I think it's simply that most people cannot imagine not caring about winning. However, that is exactly the case. If you really think he wants to win, then explain yourself. Because all the facts point the opposite direction.

These are the same dudes that cheer on the Arkansas Razorbacks week in and week out. That team has never won anything since Jerry was in college!

Part of me hopes he doesn’t.

Jerry Jones doesn’t deserve to win another Super Bowl before he dies. Consequence of his hubris.

Sadly, he is going to take the rest of us down with him.

He desperately wants to win
Anyone that knows Jerry thinks that anyone that thinks otherwise has no clue.
Extremely competitive man

If people want to argue that he is delusional and goes about it the wrong way....that his teams are usually a "B" and sometimes a "B+" but will never be an "A" or A+", well, I won't argue.
But oh yeah, he wants to win.

Serious answer: Yes. I really think he wanted another one. Problem is, he thinks he is great at what he does while he is not. And no one around him has the guts to tell him that. So he will die with the words "I gave you three and then I tried. Bugger off. I like my guys" on his tombstone.

When you are as wealthy and out of touch as he is, what is the difference? Jerry already won as far as he is concerned.

Here's the problem with this. One can make the argument that if he really wanted to win, he'd do whatever it takes to win. But he doesn't do whatever it takes. The most glaring flaw, the biggest problem is Jerry. That's it.

He refuses to acknowledge that or accept that reality. He refuses to understand that he and his son aren't football people, they don't know how to build a roster balancing the draft, FA, the cap, etc.

So I won't tell people they are wrong if they say he doesn't really want to win. Because one can say he refuses to do the one thing that could change the course of the franchise - fire himself.

YES , how much let's see how he reacts to daks Injury, we have a very good to great defense, good sts, can still make season out of this IF,

IF he goes and get a better backup for 6 games. Rush or Grier are 1-2 game type backups. We need a better option trade or find one available, thats better.

so if he rolls with what we have i say hes not committed to winning. Do not waste this defense. We can establish a run game with 3 RBS 2 TE , Gallup and wash are coming back..

so no need to throw in the towel for draft picks, no tanking.

if jerry and SJ go at least try and get a QB to fill in for 6 games you have to do this..trade or not..16 games left you do not roll with rush or grier, that's a white flag..

People still argue in favor of Jerry? It’s actually mind blowing! His want to win and 25 cents won’t even get you a bag of chips!

because of where he is at in his life....he would die to win it any other way other than HIS way. He is too dug in to change. This is the way it will be as long as he is alive. And the behavior he is role modeling for his son will be adopted. THIS IS THE JONES BOYS WAY FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE!!!!

I believe Jerry wants to win another title. But as others have said, he wants to do it HIS way. He knows what it would take to win but his ego will not allow him to go back to the way it was during Jimmy's tenure as HC.
