Before I find a patch of hay to piss in, I'll wait for official medical results on today's operation. Deal with the good of Dak Presscott's good.

Myself, I really would seek a trade or sign someone who has just retired.

1 week is not being wrong. It is called "Week 1"

I can remember the Patriots taking the worst beating ever in week 1 by the Bills.... shut out and gave up like 40 points. They won the super bowl.

Last year, Packers lost 38-3. Everyone was saying they were crap etc. They ended up the #1 seed.

2014- We got throttled by the 49ers and ended up a Dez blown call away from the next round and who knows.

There are a million other examples. Crazy stuff happens week 1. That is why it is absurd to draw any conclusions about a team after this week. After 3-4 weeks...sure.
Werent you the guy saying we had a fantastic offseason?

Sure looked that way last night.

For those that were on the fence it's time to face the music. Dak just isn't good. He's an injury waiting to happen at this point and he requires elite players everywhere to even look halfway decent. When Dak is your QB the margin of error with the rest of the roster is incredibly small. The Teddy Bridgewater's and Garner Minshews of the world would look better right now. I mean, I thought Rush looked better.

So we have 3 options here:

Do we try to get a QB through the draft like Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, or Allen?

Do we sign a QB like Tampa did with Brady?

Do we trade for a QB like the Rams did with Stafford?

Personally, with us being stuck with the injury prone and not good Dak Prescott I think we should draft a 1st rounder THIS YEAR with our high draft pick we'll have. This years draft is supposed to be very high on QB talent. This is the year we should do it.

We can put him behind Dak and let him learn and as soon as Dak can be let go we let him go.

It's time to take the QB seriously again for the first time since Aikman.

If it was so easy to draft a QB like the ones you mentioned then of course BUT to many times they end up as busts. Not saying we shouldn't draft one but its a crapshoot at best. I think you use a draft pick and see if they can develop someone (not a great track record for this though)

Here's the truth you have to draft one early and start preparing BECAUSE this is what no one likes hearing
Dak's contract is really going to be around and the fact is a drafted QB comes with a low contract and if hes
capable of eventually unseating Dak as the starter than so be it. Dak has started to decline and unless the
Cowboys can build a really solid team around him to cover some of his problems than Dak want count. Hes
really declined especially in CONFIDENCE. He has that glazed look on his face. BUT truth is this there are
more problems than just Dak. Example at WR if anyone thinks CeeDee Lamb is a #1 your are wrong. Hes
not a good route runner and would thrive better as a slot WR. The Cowboys are in need of a young WR.
They have to quit thinking like Steven Jones wants to think which is CHEAP. They have to be active in FA.
They need to draft a young QB and draft a young WR than get aggressive on OL in the draft and FA.

Hard to see it when their OL is compromised and they don't play some of those acquisitions like Tolbert (inactive) and Sam Williams (few plays, one play i saw him it he was on brady in a second).

I'm not throwing in the towel on the season, yet. I want to see how we circle the wagons here.

Whatever it takes to get Manning in 3 years. Can never go wrong with a manning and he may be the best one yet.

The question I have is.....how long are we stuck with Dak contract wise. When will it be cost friendly to cut ties? I suppose we'd take a big cap hit!

I say play the hand you are dealt and find another QB in next years draft. I don’t believe Dak is the answer.

To learn what exactly?

How to stay focused and not panic the first time he gets rushed. Or how to throw to a receiver in a game, not just in practice when nobody is allowed to touch him, that is when he shines, otherwise he freaks out.
