If we go 4-4 over that stretch, Rush will pull a Dak and become the starter, just like the Romo injury lead to Dak becoming the starter.
No, he won't. Jerry will not pay that kinda coin to someone to hold a clipboard. Jerry has to get value out of his dollar.

Incorrect. All is not well. And anyone with a brain saw this coming. I dunno *** the FO is thinking but they certainly won't see jersey or ticket sales rise. So... What's the game?

We are the laughing stock of the whole league right now. But, taking a look at our schedule for the rest of the season..

Wk 2 - CIN
Wk 3 - NYG
Wk 4 - WAS
Wk 5 - LAR
Wk 6 - PHI
Wk 7 - DET
WK 8 - CHI
Wk 9 - Bye

Whether we have Grier/Rush under center and Now, for the rest of these 8 games, I would say we can win against NYG, WAS, DET, and CHI. That's 4 wins. So, we'd be 4-4 by the time Dak comes back.

Zeke averaged 5.6 ypc last night against a pretty good Buc's team.... we must run Zeke more and have Pollard run on the outside tackles. I was baffled we ran Pollard up the middle so many times - he is not that kind of back. Rely on our defense too, you can't tell me Micah is NOT going to average 2/3 sacks / game he is a monster

--- Dak / Gallup will be back ---
Wk 10 - GB
Wk 11 - MIN
Wk 12 - NYG
Wk 13 - IND
Wk 14 - HOU
Wk 15 - JAX
Wk 16 - PHI
Wk 17 - TEN
Wk 18 - WAS

The rest of this schedule is easy, the only tough games will be TEN/GB/PHI. All the rest are winnable.

We can still get a WC spot! It's only one week folks. RELAX!

something that I have to admit is that you are very positive, but far from reality, the giants beat the titans, despite the ineptitude of their QB they generated points and won with S Barkley playing well, Washington beat the jaguars, despite of Wentz's usual mistakes generated points and responded on critical plays; Detroit played well against the Eagles.

Do you think that even with Dak they couldn't do anything, now without Dak they are going to do something, and win games? I think you live in a utopian world.
before the bye, the only game that I see them capable of winning is against Chicago, and I can see that they can win 3 or 4 games, at most 5.

We need at least three wins before the bye.

Instead of another doom and gloom reply, I do think there are two players that could have made a positive difference for the Cowboys offensively last night, and they are just a week or two away from suiting up: Michael Gallup and Jason Peters.

Shut up.
They can easily lose all of them, too, regardless of who the QB is.

Like I said, a lot of things need to go right but remember the 2018 season was looking HORRIBLE until we signed Cooper. I’m not saying we’re one good WR signing from contending for a title but after one week it’s laughable how you guys are already ready to throw away the season.

I laid out my facts and points:

1. Zeke played well. Rely on the run game. The OL wasn’t elite but not poo either.
2. Use Pollard for off-tackle runs. Stop using him in pass pro.
3. Micah/Diggs make this defense way above average. 2-3 sacks a game and diggs will get INTs all season.

I’m just saying we NEED 3-4 wins by the time Dak/Gallup come back. Having Gallup back would definitely make this WR core so much better.

If the Texans can hang with the Colts then anything is possible!
Stay positive, we do have a very good defense that can create turnovers and give our offense a short field. Special teams can conribute as well, like how we continue to attempt to run the ball out of the end zone on kickoffs.

You can't run with Pollard, especially now that you have a backup QB that you have to protect.

I've been the optimistic fan for many, many years. But the 2022 Cowboys are already a dumpster fire. It's almost like they want to set up McCarthy for failure and get Sean Payton in here with a top ten pick in next April's draft in his back pocket.

How would they get a top 10 pick without giving up a 1st rounder for Payton???

I like your optimism brother, but this team was sick before Dak got hurt. It looks like a continuance from last season post Denver. They haven't adjusted a damn thing. 4-4 would be a minor miracle.

If we rely on our running game more, and keep KM away from the playbook the grass is always greener.

Zeke looked great last night. The defense looked great. Only reason the defense started slacking is cause we had no T.O.P...
If the D looked so great then why did it give up 127 yards rushing to Leonard Fournette on 21 carries?

Elliott's longest run was a measly 7 yards. Again not earning his paycheck. Without Dak, the season is finished. Rush stinks. One win in Minnesota doesn't mean squat. "Relax"?! o_O

Not a chance. Dak was awful game one. Rush will definitely not be an improvement. Giants are probably the only team in that stretch that we beat, and that's a maybe.
