I’m a dak supporter and my opinion hasn’t changed at all. I think he’s a really good qb. Not elite in the Rodgers, mahomes sense but a top 10ish guy who you can win with.

he sucked last night

Dak’s supporting cast has always been top 5-10ish, not him.

Look at Hurts yesterday after getting AJ Brown to pair with Smith. I’m not delusional about him. I would still prefer they draft a better QB

What ever Dak had in 2016, Garret coached it out of him.

well, perhaps you are right. local 7-11 is very dreamy. I actually got mine from a street vendor. for some reason I can't find him any longer.

everything I posted is the truth....you just having a hard time coming to terms with it.

good luck to you...me and my street vendor degree in psychotherapy have other things to tend to.

p.s.
why do you have so much anger in you? you display too much drama for something so unimportant.
Everything you posted is truth but when I ask you to point it out you somehow can’t show proof of it. Sounds believable. Not really.

Regarding your ps yet another reason to get your money back for your bootleg psychology degree. Anger can’t be seen in those regular words posted my friend. Do better

People don't want to remember that the dude couldn't beat the Jets when he was fully healthy. Injury has made him worse. It's over no matter how long Jerry keeps him around.

I honestly have no idea what Dak really is as a player, but I do think he is a good person and aims to improve. He's really been hit or miss since the ankle injury.

Problem is, I think he's in the worst possible place to succeed in the NFL. If Tom Brady can take preseason snaps to prepare for the season, any QB should be taking those same snaps. In Dallas, Jerry has this misguided idea that it's "too risky" to play in the preseason and as a consequence their players aren't ready for week 1. Dez used to get the same treatment, Zeke gets it, Micah gets it, CeeDee is getting it. Morris Claiborne used to milk the hell out of it. I think at one point the guy only had like 1 or 2 preseason games played in like his first 3 years.

Dak will see the 2023 season because his dead money is far too high to absorb. And once again, this is why you do not restructure contracts. It is the dumbest thing you can possibly do because it pushes their break even cut point further out, and future performance is never guaranteed while cap dollars are. I have said it for years, performance naturally declines with age and you are committing cap dollars to years when the player is older. What's the benefit?

No it has not. If the team had top 5-10ish talent than when he went down that year they wouldn’t have been terrible. The cowboys have had elite skill positions at times but beyond that it’s usually little depth and there’s always a position group that is lacking.

He also has had mediocre coaching at best for most of his career. Hurts played with 1 game with aj brown against the lions- stop being so reactionary lol

Actually people are viewing what they been hoping for.......a failure in Dak. Once the pay day came, most of us knew and saw this a mile away.
No rings, no trash thrown, no money questions, HOF claims, and Hero status. C'mon Man!!

Dak has easily enjoyed a top 5-10 offensive roster for the vast majority of his career. The oline has been very good to great for his first 5 years. And Zeke was a stud early behind that line and that is huge for any QB. I probably should’ve been more specific and said ‘offense’. Their defense was never ranked that high. It’s only now getting a lot better.

I’m not saying Dak sucks…I’m saying he was never great. There’s a difference. They sucked when he went down because JJ doesn’t value the backup QB position. It’s been Dak or no one.

Agree it’s a super small sample size about Hurts, so not a great example of my point. I’m just not a believer in him personally. He’s going to have better numbers this year, but I hope they still try to upgrade. That’s all I’m saying. The Cowboys should’ve still been trying to upgrade instead of assuming Dak was elevating his offense to that level. He was along for the ride

A better example would be the Chiefs still looking to upgrade when they were pretty successful with Alex Smith. They still wanted the next level.

so now it’s a top 5 offensive roster? It’s changing already lol. Does defense matter? Does coaching matter? Zeke was a stud for his rookie year and his 2nd year was killed by suspension. I’m not saying dak doesn’t deserve criticism- he absolutely does but it’s also not as bad as many fans make it out to be.

most of these fans would also be screaming if the cowboys decide to tank.

Dak is a top 10-ish meaning barely sliding into the top 10 when he has an extraordinarily talented team around him and a top-five offiense line. He’s below average if he doesn’t have those things. This goes all the way back to the original scouting report on him. And he’s become more indecisive over the years. He’s gun shy. He’s had his world rocked a few times and it has affected him mentally in how he plays and approaches the game. He’s incapable of making spontaneous decisions and second guesses himself and it shows dramatically on the field. simply put, he hesitates. He doesn’t throw timing routes. It’s already gonna be a long season for Dak Prescott, he’ll get over this thumb injury and come back and it will be his last season as a Dallas cowboy quarterback.

As for the Cowboys themselves, they have now resorted to at best being a tabloid topic type team. Everybody likes to talk about the Cowboys. And that’s all they’re worth. Gossip and rumors and drama…This team is not going anywhere this year. 5 to 6 wins maximum. sad but true.

Of course I meant offense… Dak doesn’t play defense, does he?

It’s pretty obvious to everybody outside of Dallas (and some in) that he has been surrounded with damn good talent on that side of the ball. I don’t think it’s even really debatable. He is what he is… and what he has never been ‘great’.

The cowboys have good talent but not good depth over the entire roster. They are always top heavy- if that. Rarely have they had a complete football team. It’s always a good offense with a **** defense or vice versa. dak is a good quarterback but not one of the handful of qbs in the league that automatically makes you a contender. So factors like bad defenses, bad drafts or bad signings are hard to overcome. Last year they had good balance and won 12 games.

that said he’s not above criticism at all and needs to be better. He was terrible Sunday. The problem with you and many others here is you tell people correctly how bad jerry and Stephen are at team building (mostly true with the exception of the draft which they’ve been decent at) and their jobs and then act surprised when the team fails and it’s always daks fault.

as the leader of the team he does need to be critiqued as that comes with his position but he’s not good enough to overcome bad management, average at best coaching and overall average at best roster construction when factoring in depth etc.

His supporters here are starting to dwindle after years of us being harassed for our opinions on him. This isn't a "I was right" post. This is my vindication for years of abuse.
Glad to see how happy you are at the way our season is going.
