I feel the same. I'm rooting for them to lose the rest of their games so it will humiliate jerry.

We are screwed....

i was down on dallas all off-season. last year was a big let down for me. the beginning of this season has not helped.

I'm feeling OK. I think Dak was hurt going into that game because he no one can forget how to throw the ball that quickly. If we can win a couple of games while he's out, we could still have a shot at the division if he comes back sooner rather than later and plays like he did last year.

We might be a bad team.

I am still pissed about the game. But then again why even bother? Nothing is going to change EVER so long as Jerry and/or Stephen Jones are in control of the team. I think of the disciplined, competitive, tough Cowboys teams of the past with coaches like Johnson and Parcells; true disciplinarians who demanded perfection and hard work from their players, who in turn gave them respect because the buck stopped with them. We will never have another head coach in their mold lead the Cowboys because Jerry will not get any credit…and he covets the recognition of being a football guy.

So what does that mean for us? Well it means more Campos, Gaileys, Phillips, Garrets and McCarthys leading the Cowboys…all for the maintenance of Jerry’s glorious ego.

So while I am tired of seeing other teams deftly manage the salary cap, draft smart, develop players, actually scheme and strategize to exploit our opponents and maximize our strengths; I know this will never happen for the Cowboys.

These Cowboys are all about bluster and entitlement; we “like our guys”, we’ve found the “secret sauce”. They talk trash in the pre-season and buy into the hype; go out on the field thinking teams will bow before them due to a false sense of entitlement, then they get smacked in the mouth and fold like a rusted chaise lounge. It’s the same year-after-year over the past 10-15 years. So prepare for more mediocrity this season…and that is the best case scenario.

I think a week 2 home game is a must win. Another loss and I am afraid this is a 10 loss season.

This franchise is teetering. In my opinion like never before.

honestly my ray of sunshine at this point is to lose and get a top 3 1st round draft pick to draft a possible franchise QB. I do not believe Dak can handle the big moments well enough to be a SB contender, certainly not without a superb team around him.

I feel like the season is over even if Dak returns in 6 weeks.

this , unfortunately , may be entirely true. Until they realize the problems with the team are themselves and accept it, it will never change.

Lousy.

The team looked like it doesn't practice, the full of bravado QB looked like a complete bum, the #1 WR looked like a bottom of the roster guy, the rest of group looked XFL quality, the RT sucks, the back up RB can't block.

That game was a total disaster and now we have no QB of any kind of quality for 4 weeks.

The defense did exactly what I thought they would. They limited Brady and kept the Bucs offense in check in the red zone. Allowing 19 points while being on the field as long as they were is a win at every angle.

Special teams looked good. Turpin is going to break loose at some point. That kid can fly. Maher made his lone field goal. No complaints.

Tyler Smith looks like a real player. That offensive line has some real potential to grow into a really good unit by the end of the season. LG is rough. We need either Smith or Peters at that spot ASAP.

Schultz is a player, but we all knew this. He's only going to be as effective as the play caller allows him to be. Can't catch passes when you're blocking every play.

Zeke looked explosive. If this is his last year here, he needs minimum 20 touches a game. Pollard looked good running and receiving, but his blocking was really bad. Splitting reps, especially with the state of the line at the moment is not a good idea, despite what the fans think.

And then there was the passing game. It's no surprise that the receiver group is the weak link of the team. For those of us that paid attention in 2018, it's no surprise that QB1 struggled without overwhelming talent to throw to.

I was shocked at how inept they looked out there. 4.6 yards/attempt is pathetic. The inability to get a first down is pitiful. Missing open receivers and throwing terrible pass after terrible pass is unacceptable. There are plenty of built in excuses. The leaky o-line, the lack of talent at receiver, the awful play calling, going up against a good defense, or whatever anyone has to say, and none of them matter.

Everyone has bad games, but what we saw was an abomination....and the QB is the main culprit. His contract is limiting the talent the team can acquire to help him out. He isn't A-Rod. He isn't even Tony. He can't elevate inferior talent around him and this is a problem when you're making $40m/year.

I'm disappointed that he was injured at the end of the game. I want to see him bounce back and show that this was an anomaly, but based on his track record, I don't think so. If he doesn't come back strong, the team needs to seriously consider looking for an upgrade in the offseason.

The funny thing is some told us to relax. The season hasn't started yet. But the last time we saw the Cowboys was that 49er playoff game in which they were not prepared and didn't seem to know what they were doing. So week 1 was more of the same. All that offseason and nothing has changed.

Optimistic going forward, still a long way to go and the offense will improve. After all we we're up against one the top two teams in the NFC on primetime television Sunday night and only gave up 19 points.
Coaches need to get back to the x's & o's and exploit our opponents weakness each and every week.

I haven't calmed down since the 49ers game. The Bucs game made me even more livid!

This team is going to be terrible and was likely no better than an 8 win team even before the Dak injury. I am feeling good about the fact we are going to be in position to get a blue chip 1st rounder and maybe even a 1st round QB. We will be picking in the first 10 and you can book that now.

Here’s some sobering truth. The home game Sunday night is not just one game in a new season. It’s actually a trend going back to last year. Here are the specifics- Starting last Thanksgiving- the Cowboys are 1-4 in their last 5 home games.

• Nov 25, 2021- L vs LV Raiders 36-33 in OT
• Dec. 26, 2021- W vs WFT 56-14
• Jan. 2, 2022- L vs Ariz 25-22
• Jan. 16, 2022- L vs SF in WC game 23-16
• Sept. 11, 2022- L vs Tampa Bay 19-3

In their last 5 home games, the Cowboys are 1-4, with all losses to playoff teams. One win against a bad team.
