Lets just cut to the chase
He ain't a GM
He will be Jerry version 2 within a decade
Will he take the BIG step that's needed and employ outside the family(GM)
Or will he groom a Jones family / relation Jnr to follow him around and eventually become his number 2.
I already feel like they are doing it with Jerry's grandson who is always in the box with them.

The dude was willing to fight his dad to keep him from signing Deion Sanders is all you need to know.
We were short a pro bowl cornerback when Kevin Smith tore his Achilles week 1 vs the Giants. It was a no brainer for Jerry to sign Deion at that point and Stephen was still against it.
Penny pinching would've cost us a Superbowl in 95-96 and young Stephen was trying to convince Jerry to go in another direction because of the cap. Smh
God I didn’t know that. That says a lot. Soo he’s always been cheap. This team is doomed

The Jones boys posed for a family picture recently. I was able to get a copy of same to post here.

One the left is Jethro (GM) and on the right is Little Anus (President of Player Personnel.)

2022 will be a great year with these experts in charge of the franchise. Just gaze at the intelligent looks on their faces.

Lazy to the core.....

I'm gonna comment here since Jerry's message thread just got locked. He talks about dark times turning to the light.

Hey Jerry, we've been waiting 27 years for you to turn the damn lights back on.

Stephen is nothing more than a money man. His teams will be painfully cheap, and the play on the field will be terrible.

He really does treat the salary cap as if they are dipping into his back account which essentially they are but jeeesh. I really think this team is doomed with him eventually taking over.

Team might be doomed but, the shuck and jive will continue. Money talks, BS walks

Jerry's primary dream is to win it himself, but if that doesn't happen before he dies, he also hopes that one of his progeny will do it. So, yeah, get ready for many more decades of Joneses.

Calculated???

He is a total doofus. What has he done that would suggest otherwise. As dumb as Jerry just less charm and cheaper.

Might as well enjoy good entertainment rather than the pathetic clown show of the Cowboys.

Did not realize it but Sally Field is the only one of the main cast still alive.
Sad.

Was just wondering if anyone knew the real MO of Stephen. National media portrays Stephen as this VP with his finger on the pulse, and the real shot caller of the team who is heavily involved in the day to day. I was surprised to hear by some in the dfw media that he actually is pretty lazy and not involved with the team as much as he would like people to believe. I remember Jeff Cavanaugh saying something to the effect that he peddles the same rhetoric because he really doesn’t know what’s going on and just shows up when he needs to show up.

I was wondering if anyone has heard the same thing about Stephen. The more this team goes into despair the more I’m prone to believe the latter.
There really has been no doubt for several years that he is Clown #2

This Jones boys pile on is pathetic in this thread. This is why I hate Cowboys fans. You're no better than a pack of rats that gang up, overwhelm, and pick the carcass to the bone. Jerry is an excellent owner and better than most GMs. None of you seem to appreciate what you have in JJ. As for Stephen Jones, he has been groomed to fill his daddy's shoes his whole life. I have no doubt he will do a stellar job at that. He does know football and played football just as much as Jerry. He didn't win a National Championship in college but neither did Jerry, his team did. I'm aware some of you have trouble comprehending that concept but it still remains true. Football is the ultimate team sport and Stephen Jones is the ultimate example of successful nepotism... aside from Queen Elizabeth II, RIP. Who everyone seems to love.

He is obviously an incompetent cheapskate with entitlement issues.
