Mentors are great, but first come the humbleness and humility and team play.
Coaches, in me voluminous mind, are the best mentors. And the best motivators.
How can it come first in a 23 year old who is given the world basically without a mentor or strong person? Name the nfl players who did that

Good point.

But I see tons of similarly-aged athletes in many sports speaking beyond their years, being humble and not prone to grandiose statements.

Finally, a player that thinks the team is more important than going on that dumb show. There’s a time and a place for going on shows… after that Sunday night game wasn’t one of them, IMO.

Good job Micah.

His leader QB doesn't have issues making commercials while the team is falling on its face come playoff time.
But here we have a true leader looking to set an example to his teammates.
Bravo Micah as this is what leaders are made of!!!!

I get it but he made a commitment to do the show. Now did he just not show up or did he call ahead and let them know he wasn't going to be on the show?
Why did he sign up to do the stupid show in the first place ? All these shows mock Dallas for ratings it’s just a weird mentality to partake in that imo.

I have no issue with his reasoning, but the way he handled it with the no-call-no-show that he showed less than ideal leadership.

I understand "ghosting" is widely used by today's young adults, but it is still very unprofessional.

When is it ever "appropriate" for a player to go on a trash talking sports TV show in the middle of the season?

he should of never done it in the first place was a really dumb idea if he wants to be a talking head quit playing football and go on tv if he wants to play football stay off of the talk shows no other player does that was really bad choice for him to make to do it

If you are going to show up after a win, then you should show up after a loss. That’s being a man and leader. I’m surprised people are praising him as a leader. Not showing up because you lost the game and your QB got injured is weak….period.

Hopefully Parsons is not another player who has to move on to another team to win a Super Bowl. If he is, I'll be happy for him.

You mean like how Matt Moore has a Super Bowl ring while Tony Romo does not?

Lol…. They start filming at 5 AM. He could have done the show and never missed a second in the locker room. Idc one way or the other whether he’s on the show, but that’s not an honest reply.

5AM Pacific time. Which is 9AM eastern time. His segment isn’t at the start of the show, so he’d come on 10-10:30

He really thought the Cowboys were going to be contenders, which is likely why he agreed to be on the show every Monday during the season.

But reality dawned upon him that the team really does stink, so after getting crushed by the Bucs and losing Dak, Parsons said, "Am I going to have to show my face on S&S every Monday after we get our tails handed to us?"

So he "quietly" backed out.
