The question is what to do now. Dak's deal is good until 2024 then he has two voided years, which means he will want a new deal. If he wanted $40 million before, then what will he ask for next? He wasn't worth $40 million and he is not going to be worth more than $40 million in 2024. Not having a QB is scary but if they do things right, they could resurrect the team like they did in the 1990s.

Every year they waited, they cost themselves more money. What if they extend him after 18' , does that give them more flexibility to add more pieces or retain a few?
