They need to trust Rush

What I don't understand is why we do so much rolling out with rush, but not with our star qb. Dak will not succeed if we just make him a pocket passer. Every successful qb I've seen (outside of Brady) uses their legs. I don't get why we don't do it with him.

yeah man.. play calling and approach affects the game. Joe burrow looked like a scrub without them getting mixon going.

Burrow was under assault most of the game. Our offensive line is like the Great Wall of China compared to his. Burrow will have dreams of Parsons at night for this upcoming week

That's what happens when you don't run the ball. Even with a qb like burrow.

Burrow also had a problem, for at least the first 35-40 minutes, of taking the snap and having a Cowboy immediately inside his shoulder pads.

Kellen Moore and his conservative, predictable play calling needs to stop.

Cooper Rush proved today that he can make all the throws.

Open this thing up and start trying to win, rather than try not to lose.

I agree with you
Good thing is that he has 5-6 games IMO so he has a chance to show what he can do and the more he does the more they will trust him
He will sink or swim on his merits. I still think he is a really good back up level QB and not a starting caliber player

And they never adjusted. I was expecting them to exploit what I think is the only weakness on our defense and that's defending the run. Oh well! 1-1!

Brother, I know what you’re saying but Coopers throws to the sidelines make me cringe. He needs a ton of experience that takes time. I will say that his best asset is his poise. If a qb has a minimally serviceable arm, poise will give him a chance to deliver.

Although the conservative play calling is designed to protect him, game situations will force Rush to go yard and throw in tight windows which may not play to his strength.

If we had Burrow as our Qb today we win that game in a blowout

Right. He doesn't have the velocity behind his throws. But he was smart enough to get it done. He was savvy out there.

Moore made some poor calls today that had OK results. It still doesn’t change the fact that they were poor decisions.

It amazes me that Moore won’t stick with what works. You would think that if something works you would go back to it occasionally.

The thing that I think the Cowboys did right was limit the number of possessions in the game. If this was a wide open game with two or three more possessions each, we probably lose this game.

I'm not taking anything away from Rush, but Moore had a good game too.

I saw McCarthy reading the playbook and circling plays. lol.

In any case, I liked Moore bleeding the clock. Even when the Bengals had that long drive before they scored . . .that ran out a lot of clock. And we still had an advantage if Rush could convert. And the dude delivered.

Rush could have EASILY had 4 picks today

Trusting him with the same stuff you’d trust Dak with is literally the opposite of what you want to do. Half of his passes more than 5 yards beyond the LOS were interceptable.

Yeah? They were all better than what we saw last week. Much better.

You Romo fans really hoping for this. Wait until you hear Jerry's comments about how Dak is their QB lol......you're gonna be butt hurt I guess....

Exactly Rush played to his top level and thank god because we needed it..had Dak been playing at his normal self we win this by 14. But it doesnt matter to these guys because they just want anyone but Dak...facts have nothing to do with it. Rush played a good game and showed he is a good QB2 but damn he missed any throw longer than 10 yards and the WR actually came to play...ooh yeah and this wasnt he TB defense. If Rush makes Kellen call a better game then fine lets roll with Rush but your offense will not be hitting anything longer than 10 yards because he just doesnt have the arm.

Moore called plays and won with the backup today. He did a good job.

I want Dak back. But I'm rooting for Rush until he gets back.

What else do you do?

He’s entirely too robotic in his calls and doesn’t process how the game is actually playing out. He sticks too closely to his overall offensive philosophy (whatever that is) rather than feeling out what plays are effective in a particular game and challenging the defense with more of those looks. It blows my mind

Thats all you can do i am too and again, if we can win games with a 570K QB then lets roll, but acting like he is better than Dak is just ridiculous.

They can’t rust him to make all the throws. Arm strength is just not there.
