Does Dak get his job back if Rush goes 6-2 by the bye?

Rushing attempts paint the picture for me. The game plan was changed. So why not balance it with Dak? He's not perfect but I feel like they could game plan better.

Yeah if they had executed this same plan against the Bucs they probably win the game. Especially with the way Zeke was cranking out 5-6 every single tote. It was lunacy to go away from that I don't care how much you're paying the QB. We still don't know if it's Moore calling the Mountain West offense or Dak audibling out of run plays.. and we may never know. My guess is it's a little of both. But both need to get it fixed or they will be asked to leave town together..

You would think if all these posters on here claiming Dak doesnt have the mental ability to read or process defenses fast enough and that physically his arm strength is subpar...that Moore would balance the running attack...especially with Zeke and Pollard.

I do find it odd though that the media kept asking players about Daks arm strength in training camp. Just seems really really odd to me. Especially since Jerry controls the media.
I'm not sure. The media tends to pile on talking points for clicks.

Well, Dak should take advantage of this sideline time he has to see & hear everything. Maybe it will help.

Going all-in on a hot hand Cooper Rush and making him our starter would be a worse idea than going all-in on Prescott. Let’s not repeat that mistake twice. Just keep Rush on as a long-term solid backup.

We can only hope.. Sometimes a couple of weeks watching from afar can be just what the doctor ordered. Maybe when Dak sees that continuing to run it even when the defense is stacking the line makes the passing attack that much better he will see the light. I also noticed a LOT more plays from under center yesterday.. and I loved it.. Now if we could just get them to put a fullback in there and pound the defense into paste with load left, load right and counter trey we'd be in heaven. I think we can go ahead and declare that Tyler Smith can flat play.. And Terence Steele may not be the most nimble afoot but if you put him shoulder to shoulder with Zack Martin and send them forward the defense is getting moved. Next week we have to decide how to take advantage of having Peters available.. At this point I am not in favor of moving Smith back to guard but the question that will need to be answered is whether Peters is a better tackle than Smith right now (I doubt it) or is Smith a better guard than Farniok (probably). Either way I think we upgrade the line wherever Peters gets deployed.

If Coop throws for 500 and 4td against the Rams and we win, he has an argument.

On the other hand if Coop continues to manage the game well, Dak will have a shorter leash if he starts stinking it up again.
At least u can bench him for a half or a game

Romo lost his job to a hot Prescott.

Does the same happen to Prescott ???

If we are 6-2 by the bye, then Prescott has the rest of the year to recover.

I'm just sayin' ...

Romo was still 1 hit away from retirement, totally different scenario with both at different points in their career, I think it's a silly question . Yes Dak gets his job back.

Unless the Cowboys go undefeated by the time Dak gets back and unless Cooper is like putting up Tua numbers (based on yesterday's game against the Ravens), Dak will resume control of the offense.

Yes for 1 game but if he performs the same and the defense comes out in the Dak/Denver Cover 2. And He can only throw it behind Receivers its a wrap

And oh yeah I Don t wanna hear any of the Broken Thumb Excuses or He wasnt fully healed and tried to "Rush" Back . . . aint nobody got time for that

Besides Micah is trying fo do great things.

Dak better come correct because He only got 1 more shot

They're going to get Dak back as quick as possible even if it's too early.

Dak will get his job back because Rush won't have enough time to go on a run like we did in 2016.

The problems will start when/if Dak starts playing bad. If Rush plays well and Dak comes in a stinks it up then you're going to have drama in big D.

I could see this being a Foles/Wentz situation where Dak tries to come out and show he's the man but just plays bad instead because his confidence is shattered.
Daks non relaxed state is self-induced, its part of the role.
I would just hope it would be to go with whoever is showing the most control over the offense, if this offense can get into a rhythm with Rush by the time Dak and Jerry say
he is ready to play, our they going to break that rhythm, yank Rush and now Dak has to shine like the largest Star in Texas.
Thats what Jerry wants him to do, guarantee you that.

I can’t play nice because it wouldn’t happen but if happened it’d be a great opportunity to get rid of Dak’s contact.

If he has the team sitting at 7-1 or 6 - 2 and is demonstrating excellent leadership skills then he should be the starting QB! The Toad Hunter is one hell of a rah-rah dude when he's not playing. He's running up and down the sideline patting dudes on the back and high fiving guys, but when he's starting at QB he's not the same guy. For some reason he goes into a bad funk and struggles to hit open receivers & TEs. I witnessed several throws into double and triple coverages and can't figure out what the heck he's seeing on the field. At this point let R - U - S- H, RUSH, RUSH, RUSH run the offense for a while and if he has this nteam winning then he should be THE GUY!

Jerry is not paying 40 Million a year for Dak to ride the bench.
He will be back as soon as he is ready if not sooner.
See Zeke last year as an example.
