Peters Smith Biadasz Martin Steele

I hate even including that last name but this is what we need to go to war with. Farniok can be an uber, do it all, interior backup.
This is what's going to happen.

Tyler has been pretty good outside but he can be a mauler inside, which could open some running lanes, which could just maybe sort of help an offense.

If Peters plays this week, let's say he replaces Farniok at LG, what do you do next week if McGovern comes back healthy?

I guess we have to see what Peters has left.

I don't see us moving Smith back to guard. Frankly, I think Peters will be a backup next week if he's active, ready to step in if Smith or Farniok falters.

I want to see Tyler end up a stud run blocker of a LG....

Then next season we can attempt to get more out of Tyron, and have Tyler ready to fill in.

I know we can't count on Tyron, but if we have a legit plan B we can hope for the best.

If he is active, he needs to play. He is one of the 5 best OL we have at this point. I don't think they signed him to be a back up. If he is good to go, he needs to play. But with MM in charge, you are prob right.

I don't know. I think they signed him as an in-case-of-emergency player, but the offensive line hasn't been bad. I agree, though, that he's one of our top five, but they see Smith as the future at LT, so I can't see them replacing him until he falters and I don't know if we want to play Peters inside at guard.

He is the LT of the future. He was drafted to be that. I think he has shown that he can be that. However the plan was to play guard this year. It’s really not about him faltering it’s about going back to the original plan which also allows us to put our best OL on the field. Now if peters can play center do that. But otherwise I would have him at LT and slide smith down.
