It was refreshing to not see double digit penalties

The vast majority if posters on here preseason had the Cowboys losing both of these games. I said they would go 1-1, beating Cincy. The Bengals got on a run last year and overcame their very poor Oline. Their Oline is no better and it’s unlikely things just fall right again this year. They’re like the Panthers a few year’s ago.

Well, good guess. Nobody had Dallas beating Cincy and certainly not for the reasons you give. They addressed the OL in the off season, but they had a Micah Parsons problem yesterday. Burrow is better than he's played in the first 2 games. I don't have them in the super bowl, but we got them at the right time.

I’m not saying they’re not a good team, they are. They’re just not the 2nd best team in the league which being the Super Bowl runner-up theoretically suggests. But that was last year with the circumstances and situations of last year.

And, yes, they addressed the Oline, but addressing doesn’t mean they successfully addressed it. Based on 2 weeks of this season, where they’ve given up 7 and 6 sacks respectively, it’s highly questionable they have.

My belief that the Cowboys would beat them was based on the fact that I truly believe both teams are on the same level. Fairly good teams that, if things go right, will be playoff bound with quick exits.

Cincy had the same OL flaw last year and made the super bowl. There is no basis to say they are on the same level as the 1 and done cowboys. You made a lucky guess.

That ref looked nervous every time he announced the penalty against us.

Not really. The Bengals were similar to the Cowboys, just in the reverse. They were 7-6 at one point last season. They got on a roll after that winning six of seven. Five or those wins were one score games. That tends to revert year to year. It’s like a MLB team that wins an exceedingly of number of 1 run games one year. They rarely do that the following year. Typically, things average out and they lose most 1 run games the next year.

Don’t forget two of those penalties were hogwash. Barr hitting a QB who is running the ball and not sliding and that holding call we’re definitely to keep the game close.

The NFL changed 2 or 3 years ago that the QB can dive forward as well, doesn’t have to slide feet first. Like the slide, the ball is spotted where he starts his dive.
