I like Zeke too and his body has a lot of miles. But I don’t think he’s done, just don’t think Moore knows how to use him.

Well. Done is kind of subjective. I think he still has uses. He just isn’t the player he once was, physically. That’s what I mean by done.

I have no opinion. Debate. I know people will either say he doesn’t get touches or other end lost a step. Just interesting …

The big drop off started when kellen became OC. anyone else see that?? Just gets worse every year.
The striking thing is this season where E has run pretty good, but only 52 a game.
This also has to do with jerry, as E is one of his tripletts, and he wants him to last for 20 years.

Zeke just lacks that second gear, that burst after initial contact to get out and scoot down the field for the big yards.
To be honest he may have the burst but just does not SEE the seams to burst into.
He maybe closing his eyes on impact and just not seeing the gaps that are not part of the initial blocking scheme.
exactly what Pollard does best. I think Polard looks for opportunities beyond the play call and blocking scheme to burst into and I think Zeke is just not thinking about it or not seeing it.

What is happening to Zeke is happening to all NFL backs his age and years in the league. Unfortunately, D Henry at Tennessee will experience the same. Age, punishment, carries all take their toll. Defenses look to stop you and make the QB throw the football. I don't blame Zeke getting his money early, because as a RB, your second contract is probably your last and the older you are, it works against you. There is always a younger, faster, stronger dude coming up behind you. RBs are dime a dozen now. You can start them as rookies and get 4 or 5 years out of them.

Remember when the NFL had a veteran combine? And Michael Bush ran a 5.2 forty. And a reporter heard him say right afterwards "My career is toast".

Zeke is knocking on that door right now. But Satan and Spawn can't see it.

He’s an aging running back who was ridden hard in his youth. He’s done.
exactly and his snap count is monitored because of this... he doesn't get touches because he's washed and will likely get hurt being the bell cow he once was. My theory is this new dual back effort is more towards the playoffs and keeping both players healthy a lesson learned from last year

RB.
That one position that gets run into the ground faster than any other.

We get mad at him securing his financial future early, but anyone that's financially savvy would do the same.

I get it.
We love our team and want everyone to play for a discount.

Those players that get bashed in a car wreck 20 times a week don't think that way.
You go and get crashed in a car wreck 20-30 times a game and see where you demand your pay.

I get us. I get that we want our team to win above all else, but these are human beings getting battered into the ground and they know it so they want to be compensated.

Wish his athleticism could have lasted longer, but here we are.

I will not blame him for what he did.

I've seen Tony Dorsett right now.
It's not cool.
Preach!!!.....but it will fall on deaf ears on this board. Watch when Micah is off the rookie contract. Wait for it.

hum, how does his drop in yards compare to the increase in the number of passes per year?
and the excuse of the offensive line getting worse.

Just wondering, I have no money on this.

Its not crazy or out of the realm to say he is down in touches and he probably is not as fast as he was as a rookie....Nor does he have a full all pro line, and he does not have the same OC...all these are factors...

This isn't new news. His decline has been pointed out and debated in here for years.

The real questions is, are the Cowboys going to do what they should and draft Zeke's replacement (I love rookie deals) and cut $18M man Zeke.
