I love Coop and miss him, but he put the entire organization at risk by going to a Mavs game and a college football game without masking up. For a smart guy, those were dumb actions. CeeDee was with him at one of the events, but he wasn't in the dog house so...

Many on this board felt coop was overpaid when he was here because he disappeared or was banged up.

Appreciate what you have. Dude drew coverages like no one's business. And with the new wr contracts his contract now is solid value compared to what others make.

I was ok with trading him as long as we replaced him.

Replacing him and getting value back for him is what I would have wanted. I think if we had waited after all the new contracts or draft time we could have gotten more. But hindsight.....

Hes right

it would have been GALLUP or Ac they chose Gallup

Galloup will be back and we will not miss coop as much as you think..

yes coops still good but 22mil and the other issues with the foot the disappearing act etc.,,they made decision not SIGN Gallup and eventually maybe Lamb proves he can get paid. They can NOT sign everyone. Many teams let go of the top WR some way more elite then coop and are doing just fine..

we will be fine.. Gallup coming back will be the GM plan have Lamb and Gallup vs lamb and Coop. it is what it is,

tired of the whining. :facepalm::mad:

No one said coops bad but you can not have everyone and coops time was up raiders let him go. we let him go..it happens. Players like Hill and Adams are better then Coop and they were let go..IDC about the trade

if they DC could have got more before the bonus kicked in they would have they had Zero offers that were better. as far as eating that deal. now if they had another month before they ahd to trade him maybe they would have got more. Teams knew this ..that why the offers were lose 22 mil cap hit is A LOT for an 1100 yard NOT Elite WR..he snot hes really good hes great but hes NOT elite

where's his 1500 yard 15 td seasons?? he has ZERO

Dez had 3 in row. that's elite production...

you all ay they hold onto payer too long this time they decided early it was time, nothing against coops skillset..its Business!!:popcorn:

This sounds like something a GM who has job security and knows he will be around for life would do. Give away your best receiver because you had your feelings hurt. Not saying Coop wasn't overpaid, but there are other players on this team who are overpaid and nothing was done about them. Jerry needs to sober up and start acting like a real GM and feel the urgency on building a championship caliber team. He ain't getting any younger, and come to think of it....neither are we.

How can Jerry keep saying we used Coopers salary to upgrade the pass rush and OL.

I'm not sure he is ready to accept Randy Gregory walked away.

Who did we sign that upgraded the OL? Peters? no. that was after Tyron was injured.

What is this man talking about
Yeah when I heard the interview I was saying the same thing but the radio guys didn't ask the follow up question, "well Jerry who did you sign with the money you saved from trading Coop"?

Gallup is his replacement, he got new deal. You can not have an embarrassment of riches at any position, and we have Gallup under new deal and Lamb maybe next IF he proves worthy. If not go back to the draft and get one.

I also seen where Cooper did not want to restructure here. I am not sure why he did in Cleveland. But could been something in the contract..
Could you post the article where it says that Coop didn't want to restructure? Because he did so willingly in Cleveland.

They cut Coop, DLaw took a pay cut and they cut La'el. All these cap savings and nothing to show for it except Dorrance, Fowler, Barr n Peters all on low cost deals. What are they saving up for?
Dak counts $49 million against the cap next year, and they will have to pay CeeDee and Micah soon.

Cooper's twice the receiver Gallup was, Gallup is a number 2 wr at best. He's Alvin Harper and Tony Hill at best. I don't trade Drew Pearson so I can sign Tony Hill. I don't trade Michael Irvin so I can sign Alvin Harper.
OPINIONS are like you know what..give that mess a break,

No hes not,

lets check out the is entire season for all concerned Lamb, Gallup, and coop we can then judge. Show me the players GB and KC replaced their elite guys with. we have better WR staff thats fact.as it sits right here we have more then them be upset at JJ for making a business decision. But just stop....

I say Gallup can be a close in production that's all that a matter heck Lamb was more productive last year..lets let it rest!!

ok Butthurt ZONER

Coops Career production is just as expected from a #1 , rally hes done squat to be better to do MORE his #s have remained about the same and compared to the elite say Jefferson or Kupp last, year Coops just another starter who is good but hes far from special/Elite..Ok MR IM so to MR. Butthurt, blind to Coops actual NFL production and where he ranks.

Coop coats through many games and again does just enough hes not motivated to be the best , thats obvious and 22mil is way above his paygrade from where many see it.

I wonder for those for the trade is there any level of performance Cooper could put up to change their mind and vice versa. Knowing Internet forums probably not lol.

It was only a mistake because of what he gave up to get him and then how much he paid him. We knew the raiders gave him up for a reason. There will be games he will be pouting on the sidelines. He had a good game. He has had 2 100 yard games.

Except he didn't put anyone at risk any more than someone carrying a flu virus.
Anyone still wearing a mask at this point is a complete fool.
