Surprise! It’s been two games, can we wait on declaring Ceedee a 2? 11 targets both games, improved to 7 for 75 game two. Can we give it at least half a season before declaring this guy is not a 1?

Like sheesh guys it’s been 2 weeks. Week 1 was his first week ever as an NFL WR1. Last week he did well. Let’s give him time before closing the door on Ceedee as WR1.

Am I declaring he’s that guy? No. But I do understand that it takes more than 2 weeks to decide such a thing. I know we love overreacting, it’s in this forums DNA, but let’s wait and see before declaring one thing or another.

Lambs specialty is his speed and open field running. Hes not good running in traffic. He also was working against the #2 cb. Hes now facing the #1 cb and if needed double coverage.
He disappeared last 2 years whenever he was put in the #1 WR position. DK why anyone thought that would change this year. He needs a WR like Cooper to draw the attention/traffic from him. Hes a good #2
I went back and reread Jeffersons and Lambs reports. They suggest Jefferson is the better but Lamb faster. Our scouting department messed up

He's more suited out of the slot, and needs a true outside threat to open things up for him unfortunately...guess we are seeing a bit about why he fell to us.

Not saying he isn't or can't be great but so far he's at gallops level

It wasn’t Dallas. The entire scouting world had Jefferson a notch below the other receivers and felt he was slot specific.

He had Ja’Marr Chase and Terrace Marshall playing outside. So it’s easy to see why he played in the slot.

agree but I went back and reread the reports. They suggested Jefferson was a good receiver in traffic while Lamb just had the speed/open field ability. None said Lamb was good in traffic. Scouts were right but Jerry wanted the glitz. Sort of reminds me of when Al Davis tool Darius Heyward-Bey as top WR Just because of his speed. Lamb is better than Bey was but same thinking during draft

I feel last game cooled the Lamb talk down a bit. The offense needed to adjust to losing several key players, they'll find new playmaker and roles for the players they have. I think KM is realizing CeeDee is a slot tho. Can a WR be a WR1 as a slot?

I was just thinking, who was the last wr we drafted that really panned out? It's got to be Michael,right?..I like CD,but until proven, he's an Alvin Harper, great #2, nothing special #1

Dez definitely panned out. Even though it was only about 6 years of production, the 1st round pick on him was justified. The second contract not as much

Of course Irvin was great. I think Dez panned out because he was a star for a few years. I think TWill was a good WR for his draft position and expectation level. CeeDee's expectation level is that of the 88s. Me and some other posters didn't like CeeDee being pushed to fill those expectations of 88, and wanted him to just be with the #10 he wanted. @bigE79 your right he still has something to prove.
