Calling a game with your backup QB, 2 rookie TE’s, a rookie LT, a backup LG and generating over 400 yards offense was a great job by Moore. I’ve been harsh on him in the past, but this was a very well coached game by Moore.
I was just looking to see if anyone had started a thread yet. He had a very good game plan, and stuck with the run, while letting Rush air it out to keep the defense honest. It would've looked even better, if not for the dropped passes.

Strongly disagree.

The 3rd and 1 call with about 4 minutes left should have been a run. Run game was working and it would have been beneficial to kill another 40 seconds of clock before attempting the field goal had Giants stopped them.

And the 3rd and 8 out of the 2 minute warning should have been a run also. Or Rush should have been told to slide down if Ferguson wasn't wide open. Giving the ball back to them at their own 15 with 1:05 left instead of 1:45 could have been costly.

I saw Rush go through his progression and throwing to the correct receiver. Often, I saw multiple open receivers and Rush threw to better option. He looked poised and like a veteran who isn't easily fooled. I rarely see Dak do this. He looks confused and jittery. He checks down so much and doesn't give plays to develop even when he has time. Sooner the team moves on from Dak the better off they will be.

This thread is about Moore. There are plenty of other threads in which Dak's play is relevant.

It’s the 3rd game of the season. They were showing confidence in the offense by calling those plays. Remember, they have the best defense in the NFC East in their back pocket.

Even good coaches will have one or two bad calls a game.

I yelled at him for same calls fyi.

Two bad calls doesn’t make it a bad game.

You gotta admit that overall the playcalling was very good. We took shots, we ran the ball with Pollard, and we didn’t get too cute other than the plays you mentioned.

I loved the aggressiveness. It shows confidence in the players. The players feed off that so I don’t think they were bad calls. Especially not with this defense backing you up.

I agree that a majority of the game was called correctly.

But in the most critical situations, Moore gambled when there was no need to. He tried getting too cute.

Props to Cooper, but after reading all these threads, I'm confused.....

Is he a gunslinger or a busdriver?

Except for a year with the Giants, Rush has been with the Cowboys since 2017. Knows the system, knows the coaches, knows the players. Not mobile, not a big arm, not great accuracy, but he does seem to *know* what he's doing, so that execution is not a struggle. And I haven't seen poor decisions out of him yet.

It was a solid game plan. Well-balanced and efficient. Probably had somewhere around 100 yards in dropped passes and the end numbers still looked good.

Great job again by Rush. You can't say it. Your Dak poster prohibits it.
