That deep pass he dropped represented +50% of his yards on the day and half his TDs on the season. It’s great he made the game winning TD, but if he made that previous catch then the stress of needing a GW touchdown would have been unnecessary.

This is the 13th consecutive game CeeDee Lamb has failed to reach 100 yards receiving, which would have happened easily had he caught that ball. There are many games in that streak that also should have been 100 yard performances if he were more sure-handed. It is the first time in 11 games that he reached the endzone.

He is on pace for just over 1000 yards and 6 TDs if he plays all 17 games.
Y do you keep harping on 100 yd games??

Do you know who his starting QB is?

Since last year, He has the same amount of 100yd games as your boy “all-world Devonta Smith”

Zeke will get blasted for support of his teammate. Speaks highly of TPollard too, yet is always ducking the rocks. He'll lose me when he says something supportive about KMoore.

Ask yourself this: if NYG had scored a TD earlier in that game, the CeeDee catch was only to tie, and then NYG went on a game winning drive, would people here still be as ecstatic about CeeDee yesterday? The narrative then would have been that he had the one TD at the end of the game that ended up not mattering, because he dropped the game winner earlier in the day. But that’s not the narrative because NYG couldn’t drive all day. The defense won that game, CeeDee did nearly as much to lose it as he did to win it.

And DeVonta Smith isn’t “elite” either. I wouldn’t even say his rookie year was as good as 2019 Gallup. The fact that CeeDee didn’t have more 100 yard games than him is more than telling. And CeeDee has fewer this year.

In 2015, Deandre Hopkins had 1500 yards with Bryan Hoyer throwing him the ball and no number 2 close to Michael Gallup.

In 2008 Calvin Johnson had 1300 yards and 12 TDs with Dan Orlovsky as his QB. The second leading receiver on the team had 300 yards.

Brandon Marshall had 1200+ yard seasons with 4 different QBs, including Matt Moore, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Josh Mccown. Second leading receiver in his first 1300 yard season? Brandon Stokeley, who only started 9 games that year.

Mike Evans has had 1300 and 1500 yard seasons catching passes from Jameis Winston. His number 2 receiver was the Tight End.

Elite receivers do not necessitate help at the other WR position to get open. Elite receivers don’t have to wait for their pro bowl QBs to get healthy before they can perform at a high level. We have threads saying Lamb will be better once Gallup and Dak are back. What other elite receivers require those circumstances to perform?

80 yards and a TD as your season high isn’t elite. That’s a generic game for elite receivers that happens between their big games. Imagine hearing that Julio in his prime had 80 yards. We would ask, “who was the corner who shut him down?” But That is a breakout game for CeeDee. That is why I bring up the 100 yard streak. That doesn’t happen to elite receivers. You bring up the QB he has, but why is it Rush’s fault he dropped that bomb? He put him in perfect position to have a 130+ yard 2 TD game, and CeeDee couldn’t do it.

Right now the only thing elite about CeeDee Lamb are the excuses made for why we dont see it.

No question he made up for it but IF you're the elite player we think/hope you are, you gotta make that catch. It's a routine catch and to drop it shows a lack of focus.
To be fair. He is not used to being that wide open or having a ball so well thrown and for both to happen on the same play, the shock was just to much.

If he played for any other team that doesn't get overexposure with the media, he would be nothing more than a mid-level WR. Aikman's comment "one of the top WR's in the league" was laughable.

Who cares what a teammate says about another player? Wonder if Elliott would be so complimentary if that drop had been the difference in a loss?

Lamb has yet to take that step to true WR1. Doesn't mean he won't but WR1's don't have the dropsies, they're clutch, which makes them #1's.

Really? So ...what have i said about Zeke then? Go ahead....tell me exactly what you are talking about.

You're talking out of your behind is what you are doing.
You just have this weird confidence in him to the point that you get emotional whenever someone else doesn't share that confidence. He's clearly a shell of himself and Pollard looks better every time he gets the chance.

We've all seen you defend Zeke the way the Dallas Prescott fans defend Dak. I don't think that's any kind of revelation for anyone.

But I've never called him top ten. I'm on record as saying he shouldn't have held out, shouldn't have gotten that big check, came back out of shape, and was getting easier to tackle.

Now what, buddy?

What I HAVE said is he can still contribute to this team in a way Pollard OBVIOUSLY can't. Other than that, I suppose I do have a penchant for not incessantly trashing our own players. You hate that.
