Rush gets better with each start. His drive at the beginning of the 4th qtr was a perfect error free drive.

Dak is viewed by his defenders as a franchise QB.

Dak is viewed by his detractors as a bus driver.

Depending on which camp you fall into will be the determining factor of whether or not you think he is worth what he is making.

Numbers and hard facts don't lie. Dak is drastically overpaid and overpaying to that extent for a QB in the salary cap era is simply not something that can be overcome if you want to win a Championship. Cooper is demonstrating Jerry's folly.

Dak will be playing better teams, period. he give us the best chance to win those games because we will need MORE Offense and Rush is don't screw it up a Bus driver.. most underwhelming production at qb, which is fine but we will need MORE offense and daks the qb to do it on our roster. win or lose its the best decision and im getting tired head having to wake up fans with moronic statements about how Rush should keep the job.

Dallas finished 12-5 (Dak was 11-5 and Rush was 1-0); the 6-game winning streak saw Dak 5-0 and Rush 1-0; Dallas was 6-1 when Dak came back from his 1-game injury...Dallas finished the season going 6-4 and then lost in their home playoff game.

Facts matter: Dak had a 5-0 run then missed a game due to injury in which Rush went 1-0.

I'm not arguing that. Dak is ovepaid. But his supporters will never admit it and will continue to claim that he is top 5, top 10 whatever. They will defend him to the end.

The true test is to look if Dak adds more by just being present? For instance if I were to take Dak and put him on say a team that has a weak offense. Does his addition make them better?

Yea but not all qb's are equal. I mean let's face it, can anyone with a straight face compare Dak Prescott to Mahomes? And I'm not even saying Dak is the only one, I'd say the same for Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson. It's lunacy to claim that well this is the market for QB's when none of these guys are the same.

There is an aspect which needs mentioning. While a great number of people will not agree with this, one has to point out that Dak in the recent years has not had the running game and offensive line play like Rush had against the Giants.

I am not saying Dak will excel if he enjoys this type of an unfettered pocket to throw. But to me, at this point in time, there could be a case made that Rush has been playing behind an offensive line which is buying time.

Keep in mind it is only the Giants, even though Martindale was blitzing a great deal.

Which goes back to the point this offensive line - with the weak spot of Biadasz - may be the best this team has fielded in a few years.

And you could just replace Rush with the next Rush once his contract is up and he's looking for a massive raise. Franchise QB money is worth it if you are getting a Rodgers or Mahomes in return. But if you aren't, you are far better off spending that money on your defense and just making do with a QB that is merely adequate. Jerry wanted another franchise QB so bad after Romo that he tried to will it in to existence by paying a guy who was clearly not a franchise QB franchise QB Money and that mistake has cost cowboys big time.

Important to emphasize the problem was caused by Jerry, not Dak. Dak has played up to expectations in terms of being the 135th guy drafted and what you'd expect based on his college career. The problem is just that Jerry chose to pay him way too much.
