3 NFL starts. That's it. No one, including you, has the slightest clue what he may or may not develop into, so quit making these assumptions based off of such a tiny sample. Did you make the same assumptions about Dak when he went 2-1 to start his career back in 2016?

Rush has nothing but pre season games on his resume and you label him as a career backup based off of just that. I bet you would make a great supervisor - labeling your employees in the first 2 hours of their careers.

Cooper Rush isn’t going to develop into more than what he is a bus driver who can manage games. He’s not very talented or productive and has to play within himself. He’s receiving a lot of love from fans on the board despite our lack of offense because the Cowboys are winning. The love affair will stop with him when we play a real good team and we can’t stay with them offensively. We’re winning games with our defense.

Dak is viewed by his defenders as a franchise QB.

Dak is viewed by his detractors as a bus driver.

Depending on which camp you fall into will be the determining factor of whether or not you think he is worth what he is making.

The problem with Cooper playing well, is Dak’s contract becomes almost un-tradeable, unless he agrees to take pay cut to start somewhere else. Nobody is going to want to take on a contract with a no trade-clause for a guy getting outplayed by Rush.

Coop is doing what he is suppose to do. Dak is better than Coop.
You mean the backup winning games? When MOST everyone here thought it was susicide to even bring him back when "no on else wanted his .azz"?

Look...life is about expectations. Who is meeting failing exceeding?

Yes....the story isn't finished yet. It never is. The theory (story) was dak was our 2016 savior...and it fairly fizzled don't you think?

Dak threatened by a guy WORSE than him?

And why doesn't Dak do what HE is supposed to do? 1-3 in the playoffs....is doing whatr he is supposed to do?

"But stats", right?

No...wins. It's what we have...so far. Just go with it for now. It's okay....breathe.

Cooper Rush is one year younger than Prescott and one year less of experience. He's not going to become starting caliber. Just be thankful he's helping win games as a team.

That’s how I feel. I’m glad we got someone cheap to hold down the fort until Dak is ready.

Rush is outplaying Jow Burrow too so you think teams would actually take Rush over Burrow?

What’s your point?
It's not "my point".

In my opinion the point is why are we paying dak whatever millions. That was what was asked...but you said NOT "40 million". Well then what million? And what is the value added?

You obviously do not want to address that. You think you are cleverly escaping......

"hold down the fort"...when many fans ...LIKLEY YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOU PRETEND....wanted us to cash in the whole season after one game.

If you think about it, it's pretty lucky to keep having a replacement hold the fort like we have. When Dak comes back we MIGHT not be in a huge hole. I'm happy with wins, period. I think Cooper Rush will struggle more moving forward, but I'll be happy to be wrong. But you know how this place gets.

You told me to stick to the point and I asked what the point was?

Yea but not all qb's are equal. I mean let's face it, can anyone with a straight face compare Dak Prescott to Mahomes? And I'm not even saying Dak is the only one, I'd say the same for Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson. It's lunacy to claim that well this is the market for QB's when none of these guys are the same.

Thanks for calling me crazy, I so enjoy it.

But of course, none of the qbs are the same, that's obvious. None ever have been. Every one is, and will be different. About the best you can do is lump them loosely as a pocket passer vs. running quarterback or such, and even that's not definitive.

And as a point of clarification, nowhere here or elsewhere have I ever compared Dak to Mahomes. That's also obvious, one has two SB appearances, a SB win and multiple playoff wins. Dak has none of those things, so far.

However, Mahomes has an average $45 million contract, Dak $40 million. The "market" isn't one number, it's a range. Currently Dak's $40 million average puts him tied for 8th place, with Derek Carr slightly ahead of him at $40.47 million. Carr hasn't won a playoff game, Dak has. If Dak isn't "worth" $40 million, then Carr certainly isn't "worth" $40.47 million.

Just showing that it's all relative.

Do you recall the 91 Cowboys with Beuerlein.. or how about the 2019 Steelers with Mike Tomlin? A back up QB has to make some wins for you. If our Defense was average, take away 5 sacks and 20 pressures do you think Coop get the win?

The media isn’t interested in the better player. They have an agenda. W’s matter not fantasy #s to a knowledge fan. You either see it or you don’t.

Espn will stir up anything they can. You must be a Dak hater?

Let me clarify, I said this idea that we need to pay QBs based on values placed for other guys is pure lunacy, not that you are crazy

Dak will get to prove his worth once healed. Fail and Coop will swoop.
