Football is not rocket science are you would have less general studies, P. E., and liberal art majors on NFL teams and coaching staffs.

Football 101 - You run to win, pass to score, and defense wins championships.
Football 102 - You must win at least 2 of 3 phases of football to win a football game; Offense, Defense and Special Teams.
Football 103 - Win at home, and win in your division and you will make the playoffs (8+3=11 wins).
Football 104 - Great Franchises needs stability at ownership, stability at Head Coach, and stability at Quarterback
Football 105 - When you throw the ball a lot only 4 things can happen and 3 of them are bad (interception, incompletion, and sack).

The Arlington Jonesboys have started to go to class to become Dallas Cowboys. So when Jerry Dumbo GM Jones is going to mess this up?

Actually Jerry wants us to be a very balanced team. He's been talking as if he wants Zeke to get 320 plus rushes this year.

Playing Devil’s advocate, when you run the ball only 4 things can happen and 3 of them are bad (no gain, tackle for loss, fumble). In the spirit of you post, though, I agree. Running the ball is smart football.

As more and more teams gear up to stop the pass, more teams will go back to the run game....when they gear up to stop the run, they'll go back to the pass game......simple. you do this, then I'll do that....yeah, but if you do that, I'll do this...etc. used to see it in the war room every Saturday morning between the OC and DC. Pretty cool, actually.

I'd argue that passing the ball, 6 things can happen and 5 of them bad: no gain, sack, interception, fumble, drop

i wouldn't call the bengals so-so.
no body gave us a snow balls chance to win that game.
lotta talking heads were picking the giants to stay undefeated.
i love it when we win and people try to explain it all away.

knowing is one thing ,being executing that consistently is another.

But what is puzzling is our OC tries to stop it when it is working, Run works , then go pass pass. passing working , try to run head on .., LOL

Thought this was a passing league? Thought the run was going the way of the telephone/land line?

I've always believed you can win with a good running game and good defense.......it may not be pretty or watchable for some of these millennials but it can be done I think..
