- The good thing is between Cincy and NYG, the pass rush was so relentless that opposing QBs
had to bail and take off running to save their very lives.

- The bad thing is if these opposing QBs have any sensible mobility and running legs, they are gonna
keep taking off up the middle vs our defense for huge gains and converted first downs.

- That's gonna threaten to keep drives alive when we need to get them off the field

- We saw Cincy's Joe Burrow taking off up the middle for several big gains and first downs,
and we saw Daniel Jones constantly taking off up the wide open middle for big gains
and converted 1st downs too.

- Lets see if Dan Quinn and staff will make adjustments to these big, wide open runs
vs these scrambling QBs,

- And to think, we'll soon have Philly's Jalen Hurts to deal with in terms vs running QBs.

Are opponents are going to make some plays. Daniel Jones running the football led to 16 points so let’s not overreact. In the second half Quinn made the adjustment by spying Wilson on Jones. Relax………

agree the pass rush created that and i can live with it..most blitzes have man behind it and routes can clear uncovered space and most qbs can see it and take off, hard to defend a mobile qb once you chose the coverage and bring a strong blitz or rush..thats all they had so i can live with it as well. DJ only true skill is mobility and toughness, hes don't this before and lal were losses. we lit him up last year and knocked him out of the game..

Mobile QB’s have killed us for years.
they kill many teams its why the double threat is threat lol its pick your poison.. most of the time it doesn't kill you they eat clock and it typically means you blew the pay up and off play they take off..its acceptable if you hold them to fgs or eventually force them to point..seriously we have one of the best defenses weve had in decades and its being nitpicked. the other teams have skilled nfl players, no way to shut a team down 100% they will make some plays.

and that did not stop Jones ..just as it that didn't 'stop Burrows .... i could understand a couple of plays ..but not all game long

its' a trend of habit or a weak flaw in our scheme that may lead to a loss. (Hurts?)

Yeah and nailed him a few times and almost knocked him out again. We rocked him a few times. And D-Law let at least 3 more sacks slip through his hands. I know he wishes he could have those back.

A legit dual threat QB is tough on a defense. Danny Dimes is not legit, but his scrambling ability is above avg. Lamar, Hurts, Josh Allen, Burrow, Herbert are all legit dual threats. Allen is playing a kids game right now. He looks unstoppable.

They best get a plan to stop Hurts and his running. They will have more designed plays with him to run than Jones and Burrow. Or he just takes off running if he has no one to throw to.
Need to keep him in the pocket. Either sack him, or force bad throws.

Not concerned with Wentz or Stafford.

Its called undisciplined rushing. Usually players are designated a rush lane. Also this happens when there is no interior push which has been the case. more often than not we are getting pressure off the edges

They spied Jones w/ D.Wilson eventually and put an end to that.Nice adjustment by Quinn.

Didn’t stop Jones? The Giants were leading 13-6 when the defense adjusted. The Giants scored 3 points the rest of the way thanks to Joseph’s penalty. I would rather Burrow run around then him getting one one coverage with his receivers.

Jones actually earned respect for that beating he took. I would bring him to Dallas as a backup.

It’s not an easy fix

you need better DTs who can hold their ground and a MLB who is quick and physical

with Micah playing DE, we have neither of the above . Maybe when the Clark comes in at the end of the year it will help

They probably let him run free too much, and it should not have been a surprise that Jones can run. We were talking about the threat of him running before the game. I think he ran for 7 1st downs. He is deceptively fast for a QB.

But he made a lot of good throws too. In the end all that matters is they gave up only 16 points and won the game. If the Giants OL ever gets it together they could have a really good offense. I am shocked at how poorly their offensive line is playing considering they invested so much in it over the last 2 years.
